Wonderful Beach

Great sand, warm water, not crowded, what more could you ask for! There were no monk seal beaching but we saw two on a different beach so weren't disappointed.

I love this little tiny beach. Good if you have toddlers and very secluded. Right in front of people's houses so if you don't mind feeling like you're impeding on their lives you will like it. Can be some strong waves but there's an area that's calm on one side for babies.

Parking in the neighborhood is difficult but we went several times when it was quiet. Small sandy areas for kids to wade, but much rocky bottomed areas. Waves break on a reef away from shore. Not a good snorkeling area. A large turtle swam over to us!

I brought my then one year old to this beach when we were visiting Kauai with family in June 2013. He loved it. It's more like a cove and there's no waves, which makes it perfect for babies and toddlers.

This really is great for kids when the surf is rough, especially in December. It's well protected and the little ones won't be in any danger. It's not great for adults or anyone wanting waves. If you want to sit and watch the sunset and be on a quiet beach this is perfect for that. Parking is limited and in... More

We brought our son here 35 years ago when he was two. Just visited again and glad to say that it is still meeting the needs of families with young children! It is just a little spot, completely protected and not crowded. Lovely for sunset watching. Just a lovely little spot fora quiet moment (especially with youngsters). Remember -- don't... More

My husband & I were out on a long walk this past week while on vacation here in Poipu and we came across this amazing little beach. The thing that first drew us in was this big Monk Seal that was laying on the beach. Was so fun to take pics of him. The beach itself is perfect for families... More

A great place to watch the sunset. Not nearly as crowded as other beaches. Good size waves for kids but some water shoes might be needed because of the lava rocks. If you need shade, you won't find much here.

This beach is hidden in a residential area of vacation rentals, some of which front this beach. Parking is along the street, be sure not to encroach on the property of the home owners. It is a rather small beach, and when we were there quite crowded. When laying on the beach you feel as though you are on the... More
