The Top Golf Experience on Kauai; Our 27-hole Golf Facility was designed by Mr. Robert Trent Jones Jr.-in the late 1960s. We recently went through an extensive renovation to 18 (Oceans & Lakes Nines) of our 27 holes (Woods Is Still Open But Was Not Renovated). The new 18 was opened in January of 2010 and is now know as the Makai Course. The new and improved championship Makai course is a breath taking par-72 at over 7,200 yards. We proudly boast some of the most epic ocean/mountain views Hawaii golf has to offer.

Played this course which is adjacent to the Westin in Princeville, getting a decent discount as a hotel guest. The course is not overly difficult (played from the blue tees), with some wide open fairways, although the par 3s are all quite long. The signature hole is one of the par 3s, where you have to hit over a bluff... More

I had visited Princeville numerous times in the last but only played at the Prince course. Disappointed that the Prince is closed (very poor decision), my father and I tried out the Makai. It was great! Service impeccable from the start, beautiful course with many Nenes as well as nesting Albatross! Great views out to Hanalei Bay. Challenging course especially... More

The course does not disappoint. The fairways and grand are in great shape for a popular resort course, and the views are as good as those on Kapalua on Maui. I was disappointed that the famous Prince course is still closed and in limbo, but Makai made up for it. The front is more scenic than the back, especially the... More

Challenging golf course with stunning views of the ocean and mountains. In January, golf takes back seat to watching Humpback whales breech and nesting Albatross. The staff is extremely friendly and served a pineapple slice to each golfer at the turn after 9 holes. Delicious. There is a breakfast and lunch small cafe with outdoor seating.

The golf course receives high compliments from residents in the area and from travelers who play here. I lived near the 11th hole, so have some insight. It has gorgeous views as well They also have a tennis court and a snack bar with very tasty food, prepared to order. Itʻs a well-kept local secret...until now! Try their breakfast wrap.... More

This is a fun, easy and relaxing way to see the sunset. You rent a golf cart and the staff takes you to the beginning of the tour and explains how things work to you. Then they take a quick picture of you with the mountains as your backdrop and off you go. The views from the final stop are... More

4 of us recently did 18 holes here. The course is in great shape and very forgiving for average golfers. The views over the ocean and the mountains in the back drop are top in the world. It's fairly expensive with a cart but very worthwhile. Staff is very friendly. Overall , loved it!

The golf course seemed friendly to all abilities (I am a 16 handicapper and played from the 6100 yard tees). A few of the holes (I am thinking of 2, 3, 7, and 14) were gorgeous. I had a problem with my cart's GPS and a staff person quickly came out and helped me with it. You could place a... More

I played Makai twice when my wife and I were in Kauai. The views are amazing no matter where you look. The course is also in very good condition and playable for any skill level. There are several ocean holes and even those that aren't are still great. I think the price is pretty reasonable for a resort course in... More
