We like the hike and the views. It is worth going during all tide levels. If you want to watch the surf break a lot come here on a windy day with a high surf.

Been to Kauai 3 times and had no idea this place existed just 15 minutes from where we stay. Definitely a must see! There is a hike down the bath, lots of roots and some rocks making it exciting. Once to the bottom there's a...More

Steep and muddy trail to an amazing tidal pool. Worth it but be careful! We saw people without shoes on or with flip flops and carrying kids. Not a smart idea. The end is very steep and slippery.

An incredible experience and view. Read all of the other excellent reviews and do your own research about the dangers inherent to the area. Use common sense. Wear solid footwear for muddy trek down. Bring snorkel gear to see fish. Assess the tide and waves...More

We read a lot about this place so thought we should give it a go! Arrived 2 hours after low tide, ideal, and even after a rainy morning. The path down was very muddy and slippery, we wore runners and was ideal. Expect to get...More

If you are staying in Princeville it is best to walk to the trail head. Short but steep trail to the couast line with a tricky finish at the end. Tennis shoes are recommended. We were there at high tide which was impressive but absolutely...More

Beautiful place but the short hike may be difficult for some people. We went there a weeks after the floods of Northern Kauai so the hike was a bit trickier than usual. My dad has knee problems and I know that for sure he wouldn't...More

I visited this place with my children, ages 7 and 11, with very little insight or beforehand knowledge. Had I researched a little more, I may not have chosen to visit (especially with children) but I can’t say I was disappointed either. Parking sucks. There...More

alright, first things first, there’s about 7 places to park and it fills quick, if you can walk or even Uber. We were about a mile away in our rental and the walk was really nice. Don’t go when it’s raining or had rained that...More

Parking is very limited. The hike down is treacherous, at least when we did it. Very slippery. Saw two people go down. Lots of people say don't go down in flip-flops. Don't! Go barefoot if you're tough or wear something with a grip. Pretty trail...More

I found it easier going back up especially with breaks along the way. By that time, you embrace the mud because there is no way around it. Going down is harder because you A) naturally try to ease around the mud at first... More

We were there in Early April, so the seas are rougher, so we did not swim in it, but I'm sure some people are up for it now.
