The topography here is so very different. It does remind you of the Grand Canyon. I would have no idea that I was in Hawaii. This entire island has so much to offer, you must take vantage of this stop. It was absolutely beautiful.

This hike was 3.6 miles round trip. There are a lot of boulders and terrain you have to hike around. I do not mind hiking, but this was ridiculous! All the hiking and the only thing at the bottom of the hike is a waterfall....More

We accepted the challenge of making the hike to the falls and after getting advice from the personnel at the Lodge we decided to do it. They informed us that the hike was considered easy to moderate but as we started off, it quickly became...More

We very much enjoyed our afternoon bike ride down the canyon. This is perfect for a leisurely afternoon with absolutely gorgeous vistas. We took a bus up to the 12 mile mark, where you can see stunning views of what is understandably coined the Grand...More

Definitely drive yourself. It's an easy drive and, with your own car, you'll have the flexibility to stop/linger wherever you like. On a tour, you might not be given the option/time to walk out for some of the best canyon... More
