This is an amazing drive through an arid canyon into the rain forested mountains and ending with an overlook of the Na Pali coast. Along the way, there are amazing overlooks and hiking trails. It's like no other place on earth.

It's absolutely amazing to behold. You have to see it for yourself and I can highly recommend both ways.

We live on the north shore, and were not disappointed by the different lookouts! Careful on the slick spots - took a fall on a paved area 😞

Driving up the mountain there are many turnout allowing you to see some beautiful views. Once at the summit, take time to take in all the views including the waterfall in the distance.

This is a must do if you've never made the trip to Kauai! When you get to the viewpoint-spend time here. As the clouds move in and the sunlight changes, the colors and view changes. Unless you are on a tour bus, take your time!...More

Must do when visiting. The 4 major viewpoints are easily accessible by car then a short walk. These are views so beautiful and breathtaking.

Beautiful scenery with a waterfall or two. Would recommend continuing down Waimea Canyon Road to the lookout points also. Take some hiking shoes if you wish for the more adventurous of your group.

This was my second visit to the canyon. It was the first visit on a rainy day. Don't let rain keep you away - weather is constantly changing and the sun will pop through at anytime. I really think the rainy day made it even...More

Hello, We stayed at the Koa Kea and drove our rental car. The drive was less than an hour on well maintained roads. I took an infiniti scarf, snacks and water. The lookout is cooler and was quite breezy. We enjoyed a... More
