Not that you think you will find Roman style buildings or Grecian temples. This is a place of rocks and boulders. Geological gardens. Gods of Stone, that observe you during your visit. You will see that the iron rich earth is strewn with sediment and...More

Jeeps only, for this. Amazing country, almost as rough as my farm ground @ Home in Mt. Unique beauty and the sand beaches @ the end..... fabulous! A little too rough to swim when we were there.

This is a challenging place to get to, but the deeply spiritual essence found here is worth the trip. Try to see if the stones talk to you. The views are breathtaking.

It was surreal and beautiful in its own way. The best part was to continue the drive to the beach. We were the only ones on this beautiful beach. Ok, we weren't the only ones, we shared it with a few deer.

We had a great time there. It's a bit of a drive on unpaved roads (about 20 minutes or so) but that was part of the fun. Nothing bad at all. The result is great. You feel like you are on Mars. It's so different...More

You will want a jeep due to the road conditions but the views and hiking were amazing. On a clear day you can see Molokai.

It's definitely worth the trip. The street might be a bit harsh, but nothing impossible. Definitely go there, awesome landscape!

How far are you required to hike once you arrive at the Garden of the Gods? It is my understanding that you can only drive part of the way? Is that true?

How long is the drive on unpaved roads. Although it's mentioned needing 4wd, is it drivable w 2wd?
