Longing for the cat you left at home? Don't miss Lanai`s open-air sanctuary, a happy haven for spayed and neutered cats. Imagine a large playground in paradise, where cats romp and play in Hawaii's sunshine, and snooze under shady trees. Purring cats of all shapes and sizes eagerly await your visit. Our caregivers, who joyfully care for the cats, would love to meet you too. If you're interested in adopting a cat, we love matchmaking!

There is no CATostrophe here!!! There were more than 400 cats -- so many personalities and looks: friendly, over-friendly, reserved, cautious, curious, some hiding in the box, bush, on the tree, green/blue/brown eyes, different mixed colors in their hair, some sleeping & purring. I walked...More

What a special place! It is cat heaven...trees to climb, baskets to nest in, a "catfurrteria," a "kittygarten," roofs to lounge on, grass to hide in. All the cats seem very happy and relaxed. The staff clearly loves and cares for every fur baby, even...More

A visit was recommended to me and I'd make the same to anyone with compassion for felines. Most of us know the life of feral cats but on Lana'i it is a true Sanctuary. Hundreds of cats looking content in a man-made heaven on earth...More

There is not many things to do on Lanai so this was a nice break from the beach and pool. Highly recommended especially if you are traveling with kids. You will need a car to get there since it is in the middle of nowhere.

We were in Maui and took the ferry from Lahaina to Lana'i. You cannot bring a car on the ferry, but you can arrange transportation to the sanctuary. Just google the website for further information, which I can't post here.
