Reservations are required. $30 per person tax-deductible donation (for adults and kids). Home to goats, turkeys, rabbits, donkeys, cats, geese, pigs, tortoises, guinea pigs, ducks, deer, chickens, a cow and a dog, Leilani Farm Sanctuary is located on a lush 8-acre farm in Haiku, Maui. It is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization created to provide shelter and care for rescued animals, and humane education to the community. On the outer, most visible level, Leilani Farm Sanctuary lives and breathes upon a unique piece of rolling land, eight volcanic acres on a green Pacific island. But its superb location and jaw-dropping natural beauty are but reflections of its lush inner essence. The sanctuary is truly a paradise for animals and humans alike.

We volunteered as a family of 3 (2 teens) on a Monday morning. Not knowing what to expect, we were delighted to find Laurelee and her incredible dedication. We weeded for about an hour with mosquitos, but it was worth it when two deer came...More

Lauralee's dedication shows in every little detail. I won't write about how well she runs this non profit, how well the animals are loved and taken care of, or what a joy it is just to be there and soak in the magic. Others have...More

We stayed in Wailea, so the trip to Leilani sanctuary was a bit far so the experience. I booked the visit based on the stellar reviews, but, though the mission of the sanctuary is amazing, the visit itself wasn't mind-blowing. The animals are rescues, so...More

We were really pleased we'd visited this farm sanctuary. It is very uplifting to hear the stories of the animals now living here, and to realise that their lives have improved so much. Laurelee, the lady who owns and runs this place, is both informative...More

Great way to spend an hour or so off the beach. Bring bug spray!!!! The farm is well-equipped with boots, slicker gear, etc., but you need to bring bug spray. There is a lot of opportunity for the kids to interact with the animals.
