Great day with Mahalo Tours on the Road to Hana!

I can almost plagiarize several other reviews of touring with Makana of Mahalo Tours. We booked through gotravelshack.com. Booking was easy. Tyler was most helpful, and everything went smoothly. Our Road to Hana guide Makana was awesome...born and raised in the area, he had lots of stories and personal anecdotes that made everything that much more enjoyable and informative. Lots... More

I was skeptical about taking a 12 hour tour, but I knew we didnt want to make the drive ourselves. The van was first class w/ the most comfortable accommodations. Our driver Mark was so knowledgable and very entertaining as well. Breakfast, lunch and drinks were provided...it is the best way to make this journey, as we would not have... More

The trip was lovely, most glad that we didn't drive this trip as some people do, you would miss 90 % of the trip just because you need to keep your eyes on the road. Our guide was very informative and made the trip interesting. There were a number of local eateries along the way that looked great and had... More

Complete day of exploring and learning everything you ever wanted to know about Maui ! Damian was our guide/driver and did both so well. He handled the small bus so well all the while teaching us about the people and the plants and animals of the island. The tour also included two wonderful meals. Great tour ! Will for sure... More

This was a wonderful day trip. We rented a car while in Maui so we did the drive ourselves. We spent 12 hours on the road, from hotel and back, very leisurely trip. I had purchased the Shaka Guide - Road to Hana; gave us great directions information some history, several things we may have missed doing the road without... More

We're a couple, age 60, from Virginia. 2nd trip to Maui. This trip took 11 hours. Water and snacks provided. Excellent lunch at a nice, open-air restaurant in Hana included. I highly recommend this trip, at least with this company and the driver we had. We "tried" to drive to Hana with our host couple a year ago, but became... More

This trip was amazing. We ended up being the only two people on this roomy luxury van. I was so glad that we had booked this tour so my husband and I could just look out the windows and not worry about driving. Our driver Wayne was very knowledgeable. He even bought us a banana that gave me a new... More

The road to Hana is a definite must while in Maui if Hawaii is a place you've never traveled, and a paid tour for this stretch of land may also be your best bet. We certainly would not have felt comfortable driving this road on our own and consider ourselves pretty adventurous (we're 40yr old fairly outdoorsy types). We opted... More

We had a blast on our tour. Our driver David was very funny and very knowledgeable about everything. It was an all day tour but it went so fast. And we got to see so much. You have to take this tour when you are in Maui. We got a breakfast at a golf course and lunch on a beach.... More

We fully enjoyed our Grey Line tour with our guide Loren. Larry gave us details and color for 9 hours, adding greatly to understanding the history and culture. Incredible scenery and many majestic views. This is a major league challenging drive and you will miss a lot if you are behind the wheel, the tour is the value. Cold beverages... More
