We invented Downhill guided biking in 1982. Unlock the rush of gliding down Mount Haleakala Volcano from 6500 feet after seeing the famous Haleakala sunrise at 10,023 feet from the edge of Haleakala's 3,000 foot deep Volcanic crater. See the night stars right next to the World Famous Star Observatories before your biking adventure evens starts. Choose from over 10 different Guided Bike Tours. Ride with us, we invented Downhill.

My girlfriend and I booked a trip to Maui. She did not know it but I was planning on proposing to her on this vacation. I wanted it to be EPIC! In my usual last minute fashion, I contacted Maui Downhill a week or two...More

First off, the view and experience were worth it. The staff was great. They took us up the Haleakela for sunrise, gave a quick tour, then took us down to around 7000 feet to begin our ride outside of the park. The cruise down was...More

This was a truly incredible experience but you must be prepared with clothing! You're at the top of the volcano by 3:30am and its pitch black. We had multiple long sleeve and pant layers on and the company provides you with a wind breaker jacket...More

The wait at the summit was not for the faint of heart. It was 30 degrees with 30 mph winds and rain...we were standing there for about an hour. We had all but given up on seeing the sunrise, when one of the Hawaiian workers...More

Great way to see Haleakalā at sunrise. We neglected to get our park reservations early so we decided to go on a tour to see this unforgettable sunrise. Maui Downhill picked us up at the hotel, fitted us with wind breakers and helmets and sent...More

Great trip-- gorgeous sunrise (though very cold at the summit-- occupational hazard)--and the bike ride downhill was fun and gave great views of the island. The tour guides were great, friend and fun and we definitely felt safe in their hands. Would recommend!

I expected to see a sunrise. I expected to bike down the mountain. I expected to be cold at the summit. What I did not expect was to laugh my #$@ off with the tour guide Mark! Mark put the tour over the top for...More

The trip is beautiful and the ride is very nice. The scenery is out of this world... literally I agree with previous post that there is some downtime and a lot of non sense "canned" comments. I could not help but laugh at the tour...More

Did not do the zipline. We were not concerned about getting our shoes dirty during the bike ride. We just wanted to be comfortable. I think I wore hiking shoes.
