This is a great local beach, with easy access to beach amenities (bathrooms, showers, lifeguard shack). It has some great spots for watching sea turtles in their natural habitat, and decent coral (you can see sea eels, needlefish, and plenty of others). There are a couple of protected spots that are good for the little ones, and some nice areas... More

nice beach for swimming, snorkelling etc. Nice grassy park at the top. Water is clear. Nice to have waves but conditions can get rough. Not sure if it is always this way but I experienced windy ++++ conditions on other beaches in the Kaanapali and eastern areas but I didn't have to worry about it here. Nice change

Great snorkel spot. We searched all over and found this convenient beach one of the best for snorkeling. Remember to go early!

We found this beach to be well protected for snorkeling. The grassy area up the hill looks great for picnics and the like. There are showers to wash off the salt and sand after snorkeling.

We have stayed across the street from this beach twice now and love it. The turtles are amazing and the water is fabulous. I was a little shocked to see that we are actually snorkling in the turtles toilet but hey, you only live once right? Oh and lifeguard here too.

A fantastic, family friendly beach. See turtle while standing calf-deep in the water. Lifeguards on duty and nice park w/ well-kept bathroom facilities. All the 3 Kamaole beaches are good. Easy surf that's safe for little kids, unlike some beaches in the west and definitely no little kids in the water in the north shore.

This is a great family beach! We introduced our four and a half year to the surf and he truly had a blast, it was family fun for all!! One nice aspect of this beach is the presence of locals. The other real jewel is the Lifeguard staff, what a great bunch of people: kind, helpful, knowledgeable, generally all-around wonderful!!... More

This park seems to get more "hard" use than Kamole 1 &2. There was more trash and it just didn't seem as attractive as the other two beaches. We didn't snorkel there due to the crowd.

Though we lived further up north on Kihei, we drove down to this beach and was not disappointed. Best place to take children. Wide span of clean beach, warm waters, lots of space did not feel crowded even on a busy day, lifeguards on duty, ample parking, lots of shady places on the upper area where there are also picnic...
