Kai Kanani Sailing Charters is the only South Maui charter to offer daily...

Kai Kanani Sailing Charters is the only South Maui charter to offer daily departures from Makena/South Maui. From this location, it only takes 15 minutes to sail to Molokini Crater, which means less time on the open water and more time snorkeling. With two snorkel trips daily to both Molokini and Turtle Town, Whale Watching Tours (late December through April) and romantic Sunset Champagne Sail three days a week, Kai Kanani is sure to make your vacation very memorable.

Snorkel equipment, instruction, and select food/drinks are included in all snorkel tours. We have marine naturalists on-board, so you can learn more about all of the fascinating underwater life you see! We even have GoPro4 cameras available for rent on-board so you can capture all of the amazing memories you make.

Staying in Wailea? Kai Kanani offers free Mercedes shuttle service from select Wailea Resorts.

We did the Molokini Express tour- myself, my husband and our 2 year old son. I picked this tour because it was the only tour to last less than 3 hours in the Wailea area. This trip was amazing for several reasons- 2 hours is more than enough time in my opinion to do a little snorkeling, have a little... More

First off, this boat requires passengers to board from the beach, which might be fine on a day with little surf, but the day we went the surf was pretty high, so it was a bit of a challenge. Bear that in mind if you are traveling with young children or you have mobility challenges. I had been to Molikini... More

The best!! From Captain Anthony to First Mates Fred and Sarah, the crew were friendly and considerate. Their first concern was our safety and comfort. Captain A went far and wide to find us the best view of the whales!! Thanks for making my Bucket List adventure a spectacular day!

We've whale watched with this company several times over the years. We always enjoy the trip. Good: staff, lots of whales Not so good: we have never sailed...only motored. I would rather sail. For some, wading through the surf to get to the boat can be an ordeal. I don't mind it but you must be careful with cell phones... More

We went on the Morning Express Snorkeling Tour with our teenage daughters that have never snorkeled. The staff was amazing, breakfast was delicious & we all had a great time!! Our GoPro had it's first use with great videos!! You can also rent one on board. I would highly recommend this tour and the Kai Kanani crew!!!!

We loved it so much we took 2 excursions in 1 week. The crew was absolutely amazing! We learned so much about marine life that they have us wanting to come back for more. In addition to snorkeling, highly recommend the sunset cruise. We had a blast and had a very close encounter with a mama whale. Breathtaking!! Thank you... More

Yep, you can see many humpback whales in the winter months from the beaches in Maui.. But it does not compare to being on a catamaran on the water and seeing and hearing them close up. We enjoyed every aspect of our afternoon whale watching trip with Kai Kanani. Their shuttle bus picked us up at our hotel so we... More

My husband, 3 year-old daughter, and I booked a whale watching sailing trip for today with this company. Unfortunately, the weather today has been terrible with rain and 40 mile per hour winds. In fact, there was a MARINE WARNING out this afternoon and the Fairmont hotel where we are staying did not allow outside dining at breakfast this AM... More

Picked us up from our Wailea vacation rental. Then we went to Mackenzie hotel to check-in for our tour. Were able to walk around the beach till the catamaran arrived. Molokini is a crater off the southern Maui coast. This is a barefoot boat snorkelling tour. We climbed up the ladder in the water up to the boat without footwear.... More
