Overview
More
At Wailele Polynesian Luau dinner show, guests will embark on an exciting journey to the Polynesian Islands where dance was considered not just as a form of entertainment, but as a means of telling stories. Recognized for providing an award-winning experience, the luau is held oceanfront at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa and features dances and songs from old and modern Hawaii, Tahiti, Fiji, New Zealand (Maori), Tonga and Samoa. Highlights include the story of Pele (Goddess of Fire), Hi'ilave Hula Awana dedicated to Wailele (meaning waterfalls) and Maui's most extreme fire knife dance finale called "Siva Afi". The unforgettable evening of fun, culture and entertainment is complemented by a traditional dinner served buffer style and selection of beverages.

No clue why anyone would give this luau anything less than five stars. Everything was absolutely perfect. We paid up for the premium seating closer to the front just to make sure my Autistic son would be sufficiently engaged. The earlier checkin was nice too...More

We went on thanksgiving this holiday weekend. I was told that there would be "normal" luau food, plus some extras for a "traditional" thanksgiving (aka turkey). To be absolutely clear on this, I waffled a bit, and called the concierge 3x to confirm this (regular...More

This definitely was a mediocre Luau compared to various other ones we have attended in the past at other locations. There was no Kalua pork bring removed from below ground. Ceremonial piece was virtually non-existent. Except for the fire knives performance the show was rather...More

I really enjoyed this luau! I get bored pretty easily so recommend this one for entertainment. The host is really funny and best fire spinners! There is a huge buffet which was delicious and the drinks are on point. The blue one is really strong...More

We have attended several different luau's before and I would not recommend this one. Most of them have two main components, the pig ceremony and during the show, a story of the history and the mythology of the islands. This lacked both. The show was...More

The luau is small and intimate. There is interaction between the performers and audience. My husband would like to have had more upbeat drumming. The story of all the islands is nice. Even our picky 11-year old liked the food.

We paid for premium seating that allows you to get in first and sit closer to the stage. Also allows you to go to buffet first but probably not worth the extra $20/person. It was cooler at rear tables and they are all close to...More

My wife and I prepurchased our tickets to his event in advance, as I had heard that it fills up fast! I had also read that this Luau was one of the best in both the show and the food. It did not disappoint--with either!...More

Wailele was expensive (we did the prime seating which was really nothing prime), was really pretty boring. Your best bet would do as Lucas W stated above - get tickets if you can for the Old Lahaina Luau. From what other... More
