At Wailele Polynesian Luau dinner show, guests will embark on an exciting journey to the Polynesian Islands where dance was considered not just as a form of entertainment, but as a means of telling stories. Recognized for providing an award-winning experience, the luau is held oceanfront at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa and features dances and songs from old and modern Hawaii, Tahiti, Fiji, New Zealand (Maori), Tonga and Samoa. Highlights include the story of Pele (Goddess of Fire), Hi'ilave Hula Awana dedicated to Wailele (meaning waterfalls) and Maui's most extreme fire knife dance finale called "Siva Afi". The unforgettable evening of fun, culture and entertainment is complemented by a traditional dinner served buffer style and selection of beverages.

Not a fan of Luaus. This one opened with a Polynesian comedian. He was hilarious. Great musicians. Great dancers. More costume changes than at a Cher concert. Food was above average. I though it was well worth the cost for premium seating. All in all...More

I've been to quite a few luau's and I keep coming back to Wailele. In fact I've taken my family to this luau on two different occasions. Each time my family and I left raving about our luau experience. The food is excellent, entertainment was...More

We thoroughly enjoyed the luau. The food was better than expected for a buffet. The drinks plentiful. The host hilarious. The dancers wonderful. The fire knife routine was impressive. I forgot to grab my pictures after the event and after tracking down the photographer- she...More

We attended the luau on New Year's Eve. The price was higher than stated on the web-site. The hotel booking agent explained that, because it was New Year's Eve, it was "special event" pricing. We paid an additional fee for "premium seating" - also at...More

Yes the old Lahaina luau gets ranked as the top luau. Why, I am not sure. I assume because of shear number of people they push thru that place. The luau at the Westin was way more entertaining. I am sure no one is fooled...More

No clue why anyone would give this luau anything less than five stars. Everything was absolutely perfect. We paid up for the premium seating closer to the front just to make sure my Autistic son would be sufficiently engaged. The earlier checkin was nice too...More

We went on thanksgiving this holiday weekend. I was told that there would be "normal" luau food, plus some extras for a "traditional" thanksgiving (aka turkey). To be absolutely clear on this, I waffled a bit, and called the concierge 3x to confirm this (regular...More

This definitely was a mediocre Luau compared to various other ones we have attended in the past at other locations. There was no Kalua pork bring removed from below ground. Ceremonial piece was virtually non-existent. Except for the fire knives performance the show was rather...More
