easy place to stop by for a quick dip

Small, but high turnover parking. We stopped by for a quick jump in the ocean. Rocky once you swim a little out, easy currents, but kids should be watched.

This is a nice beach with easy parking and calm waters. We chose this because we didn't want to park a mile away and maneuver through the resorts to get to Kaanapali beach. If you snorkel, there are rocks near the life guard stand that have some turtles. Park your towels/cooler away from the restrooms to avoid the wind carrying... More

I've done scuba dives here for years and it's a good little dive at 20-30 feet. Not a great snorkel because the reef is so deep but once you get our past the shoreline surge/wave, it's a nice safe place to swim and snorkel. Not for little kids unless there is absolutely no wave. Drops off at the shore. No... More

Kahekili Beach park is a great place to spend a day at the beach. There are restrooms and some shade areas, soft sand and gentle surf (based on conditions). It's also a good snorkel spot where you can see corals, fish and often a turtle or two. Recommended.

Swung by for a mid morning snorkel. Water was still cloudy from the weekend storm, but the beach was pleasant, the water inviting and the parking lot only half full. That changed later in the day. The picnic area, restrooms, and shower make this a good place for families and older folks. Other than a rogue wave or two, we... More

We had a wonderful scuba dive at Kahekili Beach. We saw an eagle ray, 2 turtles, a Hawaiian lion fish all with the help of our dive guide. Exceeded all my expectations.

Just north of the park area is a living reef that is a great place to snorkel. We were told by locals that The Westin Resort is one of the very few that takes care of the reef by controlling runoff which eventually kills the reef (as seen along much of the coast in front of resorts). The park has... More

We came to Kahekili Beach Park because it was easy and like ten minutes from where we were staying. You sort of pull up, park, and snorkel. And, like so many Maui beaches, there is a place to rent snorkels on the beach. First of all, the beach was totally obscured by condos behind it. However, eager to see a... More

We were looking for a relaxing afternoon to sun and do a bit of snorkeling and Kahekili Beach Park served our purpose well. After lunch on a picnic table, we hit the water. Snorkeling was not fantastic, but there was a nice variety of fish and kept us well entertained for a half hour or so. As people unfamiliar with... More
