Ryan guided us out a few miles on an amazingly quiet sea. The experience was fun and tranquil. When we stopped paddling we could hear the piece and quiet and then the sounds of a whale breathing. Ryan totally controlled where we paddled and brought us beside a mother and baby whale. The baby was entertaining itself and flipping around... More

We went out on an early morning outrigger trip off of Kaanapali. The outrigger seats 6. We had one guide and 5 adult customers. We paddled a good distance out. We got to within about 100 yards of a couple whales but sadly they didn't breach, we just saw their backs once. It wasn't for lack of trying. Sometimes that... More

Five of us and a guide, Michael, went on the canoe trip. It was the highlight of our trip! Paddling out into the ocean was so relaxing. We saw several whales, but the highlight was when we stopped paddling and the whales were under our canoe! There were 3 whales by the boat (male, female and baby). It was such... More

This experience is not to be missed; it was the best part of our trip. Paddling out into the ocean and listening to the silence was surreal. Hearing a whale singing beneath of our canoe and having a porpoise leap just in front of us was truly exciting. We saw whales everywhere. This is a great company, providing a wonderful... More

What a wonderful way to see the Kaanapali shoreline, do some whale watching, and be able to float on top of the coral reef at Black Rock. Our canoe ride with Maui Paddle Sports was one of the highlights of our vacation. Highly recommended.

Today we had an amazing kayaking tour with Chris. Totally comfortable, safe tour. We hovered over an adult male whale, listened to him sing, and watched him breach 4 times. Unbelievable experience! Mahalo nui loa!

We read the reviews about the company changing hands. Had the same great experience this year as we've had in years' past. Nothing but compliments for the staff. We will be back next year!!!

We had a reservation for Thursday with Maui Paddle Sports. On Wed we received a call that they were moving to the Ka'anapali Hotel and were waiting on permissions to resume their trips for the new location and to get a refund from the concierge - which we did. Thursday morning I received a call from a woman asking where... More

The outrigger trip was exciting and so fun! Our guides, Meghan and Michael, were the best. Their local knowledge of the Islands and the marine wildlife was outstanding and entertaining. Thanks to our guides' persistence, we were able to catch up to whales that were far off shore (perhaps two miles) and enjoyed close encounters with them. One even went... More

These outrigger trips are the most Hawaiian way to get out on the water and see marine life in its natural habitat. Gliding through the water with no motors to disturb the tranquility, you get an intimate visit with sea turtles and even humpback whales, who are naturally very curious and often come over to investigate! Pure Maui Magic with... More
