I couldn't disagree more with the last review but appreciate others do have bad experiences. We found staff very friendly and accommodating. Drinks for us were $3 for beers and cocktails and $1 for soda's. Our boat was only 2/3 full but it still appeared spacious enough. We were a party of 6 with a 6 year old and a... More

Worst whale watch ever...We booked a party of 18 local residents, each couple called in advance and pre-paid per their instructions. They said they would e-mail a receipt which they never did, but when I called back, was assured my name was on the list of pre-paid. They made our whole party wait till the rest of the boat loaded,... More

If you visit Maui in winter there's NO WAY you will not see a whale, as long as you occasionally glance at the water. Make sure to take the 2-hour raft toir with Captain Steve. Small boat, only a few people And you are at water level to see the whales better. Such a cool experience!

My family loved the whale watching. However, we had three other excursions planned (snorkeling and sunset cruise) and we saw whales on BOTH of those cruises, so It's kind of unnecessary to partipate in a whale watching cruise if you will already be out in the ocean for some other activity. We mostly saw whale backs and tails, which was... More

You don't have to pay some whale watching company to see with your own eyes this biggest mammals wagging their tails or water coming out from their blow holes, just stay and wait a liitle by the Lahaina shoreline and all of sudden 3 to 4 whales are all out there. And more often not, hundreds of dolphins even accompany... More

Our first tour with Trilogy was back in 1998 to Lanai. We still have fond memories of that tour. Our second time out with Trilogy was as memorable with the “Whale Watching.” Jason was our captain and he did an awesome job taking us to where the whales were. A superb narration about the whales and their Maui habitats was... More

We booked this whale watch tour online before leaving for Hawaii. The captain and crew were chatty and informative, the boat was comfortable and not crowded, and we got some great views of humpback whales in the bay. My photos needed better pacing - mostly I have splashes and tail flukes, but the memories will stay with us.

Wow! This is the boat of my choice for years. The owner is excellent. Ultimate has great captains. Many of the captains have been with the company for 5-10 years. That is a rarity in the business. The captains love the whales and know the whale behaviors. Eric is a great captain and photographer. He makes sure the boat is... More

We went on the whale watch that should have canceled because of the weather. We paid more to go on the 4pm watch so we could do the sunset. We could not even sit outside due to BLOWING WIND & RAIN. Shame on them for not cancelling and letting us do it another time or give us our money back.... More

This cruise was awesome! We went on the early morning cruise that left at 7:30 a.m. This was a great time to go, because the whales are more active in the morning. We saw lots of humpback whales, breaching, spouting and waving to us with their fins. The most unusual sight was a baby whale that was about 3 weeks... More
