I've seen the not-so-great reviews of this tour but went anyway since I really wanted to see Molokai. The ferry ride over was terrific - we saw a huge pod of dolphins and quite a few whales on the way. You get muffins and fresh fruit for breakfast and they have coffee on board as well. I sat upstairs in... More

We took a 7:30 whale watching tour. Boat was old and seemed fairly rundown. Crew was friendly and nice. Boat holds close to 150 people but our 7:30 tour had less than 50. I can't imagine being on this boat at capacity.

We went to the Molokini snorkeling trip. 4 stars, only because of the crew. The crew was very helpful while taking care of us during the trip. They gave us tips for snorkeling and took us to both the spots. The boat is kind of old and the lunch is a cold cut sandwich.

Within my experience skip the boat ride over to Molokai and take a plane to Molokai. within the tour experience I do recommend the tour on Molokai especially taking the small and intimate van ride with two guides and the four passenger option. Within my own tour the two guides were animated and new the history and were able to... More

I urge you to read LarryandBettyM's review--they nailed a perfect description of our Alii Molokai cruise from Maui to Molokai. To make matters worse, we fell for this 'beautiful experience' at a timeshare talk--we were losers twice over! The ocean was a bit choppy off the coast of Lahaina, but nothing compared to the wild seas in the channel between... More

We live on Maui and have never been to Molokai, except on a layover to Oahu. Check in is at 530 AM to take the ferry to Molokai. The ferry is not a cruise ship or an excursion boat it is a people moving ferry. We got to Molokai around 8 it is about a 2 hours trip. We were... More

Long day. Ferry leaves at 6am and returned at 7pm. Very rough ride and many seasick, myself included. Poor facilities, bad food and long tour. Wanted to see Molokai but not the way to do it. Expensive and poor choice. Sorry I didn't read reviews before taking it.

The ferry ride from Lahaina to Molokai was fine but the tour of Molokai was not good. The problem was primarily the guide/driver, Thadd. He talked a lot but said very little and he consistently quoted numbers that did not make sense. For example, a 99 year lease in 1921 has 9 years left. This is just one example of... More

We agree with the above review. Worst day ever! All but maybe one, person (17) in our tour group were disappointed. We had "Thadd" as our guide? Narcissist! Talked the whole time about he and his family. We too, drove by all of his friends and family! The first 5 min., we knew right away that this was a "mistake"... More

This "ferry" to Molokai was rough, slow, and expensive. There were no amenities offered, not even a cup of water. The crew members were inattentive and hesitant to help. Surely there is a better way to get to Molokai, which we loved.
