There are numerous "must" views on Maui (and all the islands), and this is definitely one of them. Parking can be a bit dicey at times, but it's worth the effort. The views are magnificent, truly "postcard" Hawaii. Our last stop was on our way to the airport; and thankfully, we had given ourselves plenty of time for revisiting scenic... More

If you love humpback whales like I do, + gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, then this is the place for you! The whales are so spectacular as they frolic in the ocean, spouting, rolling and my favorite, breaching! the sunrise and sunset here are simply AMAZING! This is one place you ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT want to miss! You WONT regret it!

This is one of the best spots to see whales during the season. It can be tricky to pull off during heavy traffic but is worth the wait. There is a small parking area and no facilities. When it's not whale season it does make for some fantastic pics with the other islands in the background.

Great spot to watch whales from shore during whale season. Very scenic with multiple island views at any time! Good for both sunrises and sunsets as well.

We stopped on the way in and the way out. Parking is TIGHT, so be patient and don't block the highway We saw lots of whale spouts and a few whale tails. This is a great place to take it all in.

If you are driving from the airport to Kaanapali, you will pass this lookout. If you do, please take a pit stop, you won't regret. The scenic view is gorgeous. you may be able to see whales in the winter. Also a good place for the sunset. sometimes this place will get crowded leaving no parking space especially during sunset.

I drove by this lookout 9 times going back and forth on the island and always thought of pulling over but didn't. On the 10th time on the way to the airport we did a quick pull in to see what we could see. The view allows you to see Molikini Crater and two other islands. Because of the time... More

We had extra time before heading to the airport so we pulled in. We were able to watch whales out front and a beautiful rainbow to our left. The weather was very windy and a combination of drizzle and rain. We braved the elements as the sun went down and were treated to a beautiful sunset. We didn't see many... More

We planned our last night's departure from Lahaina to the Maui airport to include stopping at this scenic lookout point. We picked up shrimp tacos at Ono Taco's food truck in Lahaina and drove to Papawai Scenic Lookout, to eat in the car as we enjoyed the view. When the sun set was near, we got out of the car... More
