They begin the service asking for visitors to introduce themselves, appeared to be about half visitor half local in attendance. Music included a special song performance by Tonga members. Loved worship there.

We attended Sunday service here. We were greeted at the door with beautiful leis, and 4 year old Emma came to our pew and gave us a welcoming handshake. Service was in Hawaiian and English. A Tonga choir sang a hymn and at the end of service, everyone made a huge circle around the pews, sang a Hawaiian benediction, while... More

We visited this UMC many times over previous visits, and have always felt welcomed with "aloha". Each guest receives a hand made lei at the front door, a wonderful surprise and lovely gift. The minister is very good. The building is very well kept and has beautiful stained glass windows.

You may have to come to this church on Sunday Morning before the 9:30am service to see the fantastic stain glass done with Island scenes. Built in the late 1890s, it is great look back at the Hawaiian past. It is worth a quick visit unless you are a United Methodist, in which case you will see God, "Maui-Style." Truly... More

We were welcomed by three lovely people and a young girl gave us a hand made fresh Lai. The service was God focused and we felt blessed. We stayed after the service to have a cold drink and also to see if anyone would speak to us....they didn't.

History buffs will love this beautiful old church. It has been kept in excellent condition and is a testament to the many missionaries who settled early Hawaii.

We were welcomed with a beautiful fresh flower lei. Pastor Paul was wonderful. He even started his sermon playing & singing a song. The Tongan choir was very unique & added to the service. After the 45 minute service everyone was invited to enjoy light homemade refreshments in the front lawn. The church is right on front street and is... More
