Fantastic view and impressive blow hole ! The hike down to the blow hole is not that easy. Not recommended to do it with flip flop like we did... It is better to use running shoes or hiking shoes. The trail down is short however....More

Explore among the lava rocks to walk along the coast and see wonderful scenery and finish with a heart shaped cut out in the rocks through which you can see the sea AND the Nakalele Blowhole. There's a short route near the blowhole and a...More

The Nakalele blowhole is one of the most amazing things I saw on Maui! The hike down is short but steep, and although many people do it in flip-flops or sandals, I really recommend sturdy gym shoes or hiking shoes. You could easily twist an...More

Hiking the Acid War Zone Trail was something I really enjoyed doing while we visited Maui. I met multiple people on the trail who were confused about the trail and how to get to the Nakalele Blowhole so I will mention some of what we...More

Whether you take this scenic trail, or the more direct route down from a primitive parking area, it's worth seeing this geological phenomenon! The Blowhole spouts off every few seconds, and we saw a few that were at least 50 ft tall!

Okay, so it's discovered, but there's no crowds, and you're here getting the true Hawaiian experience: Just you and nature. The rocks have formed into a "blow-hole" so that when the big Pacific waves come in, it just bursts upward! The trail is easy enough...More

North view from the Island and you can see forever. It's a bit of a hike down to the blowhole, but you can make it. Just ensure the right amount of time. The entire North coast is gorgeous. Worth the time and effort. Past mm38...More

A great little jaunt down to the blowhole. Fabulous spot that'll give you a quick sense of the island's volcanic anomalies.

This was one of our favorite hikes on Maui. It is straight down and then up a sharp, rocky hill but well worth it. The blowhole is fun. Don't forget your water.

No, you can't. Buses stop in Napili. It's still a bit of a drive from there. Walking is definitely not a good idea either. The road becomes narrow and windy and people drive way too fast on it. Too far to walk to anyway... More
