Built by the early Queen of the islands it was one of the first western style buildings to be put up - then it was ruined in a storm and not rebuilt.

Built by the early Queen of the islands it was one of the first western style buildings to be put up - then it was ruined in a storm and not rebuilt.

As one gets-off the ship-tender, the Pioneer Inn is right in front - go to the left of the jetty. The Brick Palace of King Kamehameha-I is located right at the water-edge - a picturesque location - but there is no Palace as such, only a 40ftx20ft brick plinth-layout! Nevertheless, this is part of Hawaiian History and is a revered... More
