Steve led an efficient and enjoyable tour. He explained well the history of pineapple farming on Maui and how the industry has evolved over time. Interesting to learn how they are planted (backbreaking work by hand), harvested and processed. The pineapple tasting at the end was fabulous, the Maui Gold will ruin all other pineapple for you it's so superior... More

We decided on a whim to go see the pineapple fields and distillery - glad we did. Our guide was Steve and he was not only informative, but entertaining. We took a ride out to the fields and got to see the pineapples in different stages of growth. Got to see a couple of old timers harvesting the fruit by... More

I love knowing where my food comes from, how it grows and what it takes to get it from farm to my kitchen table. This gave me a great appreciation for the exotic pineapple and I learned so much about it. The tour guide Steve was fabulous. He kept it fun and light. We got to ride in an air... More

We went on this tour because it was on the way to the airport and less than half a day. when you first drive up you may question why you are there, but be open minded - I was shocked about how much we all learned. We toured the company. I was surprised how much work is done by hand... More

Honestly I was a little nervous about this because it felt like a tourist trap-kind of thing but it was very informative and fun, and they stuffed us full of fresh pineapple and then sent us home with a couple pineapples to boot. I'd recommend this tour to friends, especially since it got us to drive up onto the mountain... More

We had a great time in the pineapple fields. Both my husband and I learned so much about the growing process and also came to respect those that work so hard in the fields. All of the planting and harvesting is done by hand. At the end of the tour we were given pineapples all boxed up for us to... More

I have to admit. Before going on this tour, I didn't have high expectations. "What is there to know about pineapples?" I thought. A LOT, as I soon found out!! My husband and I had a wonderful time with our tour guide (Mike) who took us through the plantation fields and the Maui Gold packing building. Mike was both entertaining... More

Mike was our guide and although he was pretty funny, he knew everything there was to have an answer for. He was pretty good with the Machete and we tried several varieties of pineapples. Thee are many.. Even if you're not sure you like pineapples, you can be converted.

We loved this tour. Mike our guide was so interesting and knew so much about the history of the company and agriculture in general on Maui. He answered all our questions and added in interesting details. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and take a raincoat in case of rain or wind. The tour is in a cooler area, up... More
