Maui Chamber Orchestra performs at the Historic Iao Theater. Shows are performed on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon 3-4 times a year. The performances range from all orchestral and can include choral works and/or solos. The Historic Iao Theater is the perfect size to enjoy this orchestra. It is best to check the calendar on the MCO or Historic Iao... More

We saw Dirty Rotten Scoundrels....the theater was sold out.....it was just great. We had seen this play in London years ago and this performance was way better. We like going over to Wailuku, nice drive but worth it for this play

This beautiful historic theater has a resident community theater company (Maui On Stage) that delivers excellent productions. Have attended numerous plays, and have enjoyed every one of them.

I'd never considered Dirty Rotten Scoundrels as a musical, but it was a great live show, a little raunchy, but it just added to the fun. The audience loved it.

This is a small theatre that was built around 1928. It's quaint, so there's not a bad seat to be had. The show was fantastic and the calibre of acting was amazing. The production was hilarious and had people rolling on the floor. A terrific restaurant within walking distance is Aria's (you will need reservations). Well worth the experice while... More

The Iao theater on Maui is a national landmark. Local talent lights up the stage on a regular basis. If you have the chance you should catch a show. One caveat - the seats can be a little uncomfortable.

Enjoy the Iao theatre on your next visit to Maui. The theatre is located in Wailuku, and brings back the memories of Hawaiian days gone by. With the charm of an intimate setting, the productions are almost personal in this charming, friendly, clean and local style theatre. Enjoy.

On December 30, 2016, my boyfriend and I attended William Shatner's performance at the Iao Theater. The opening singer was a local young man. He had a pleasant voice and seemed sincere and grateful to be there. Brian Evans was on the bill - very good singer/performer; and, of course, Shatner was awesome. But prior to Evans and Shatner, a... More

An announcement at church prompted us to check out the "Home for the Holidays" musical variety performance staged by an outstanding group of musicians (singers accompanied by John on the piano). It was a Christmas treasure we will never forget. That it was held in the restored 1928 Ioa Theatre in Wailuku made the evening even more special. From the... More

My wife and I had a fun time watching "Boeing Boeing" at this local theater, a live play. This place is small, has a hometown feel and comes with nice restrooms, a concession stand and lots of seating. We had a fun time here. If your in the area, I would recommend watching some of these local actors do their... More
