Been coming to Maui for years and so sorry we didn't do this lovely state park sooner! The $5 for parking close was worth it! The paths and stairs are easy although in some places quite steep. The tropical grounds, fantastic views, and overall experience...More

Paid $5 entrance fee. Parking lot is next to the entrance. Walked about 10 minutes to see Needle. And walked back to the car. And left the park. Needle is picturesome. But no other things to keep me there longer.

When we went, not all trails were open. The ones that were were very short walks with some stunning views. Cars were parking along the street just outside the park entrance to avoid the $5.00 parking fee. Spent less then an hour at the park.

We were driving to discover places, roads and they tool us to Iao Valley. When we were heading to the end of the road we saw the Iao mountain so majestic. You can even feel the energy around the whole place. So peaceful and beautiful

Worth the entrance fee! Beautiful short hike to upper lookout to see the needle. Cooler and a beautiful breeze make the valley a get away after a hot morning on the golf course.

Beautiful place with fantastic views, but don't wear your swimsuit because all the swimming areas are closed off. You just go up and down a few steps for viewpoints so your visit won't take longer than 30-45 minutes, probably. Still, it is worth the trip...More
