The area is beautiful and there are two short 'hike' loops but they take no more than 15 minutes to complete. I was told there was a longer hike but it requires bypassing some 'no trespassing' signs and I did not feel comfortable doing so...More

What a beautiful place. Even the drive up to the valley is scenic. Walking thru the paved walkways of Iao Valley gave us a feeling of peace and tranquility. There are mountain peaks, rivers and waterfalls, floral displays everywhere and the beauty takes your breath...More

This is a wonderful place to visit. It is relaxing and the gardens are beautiful. The Iao Needle is impressive, and there is a short and easy walk to get a better view. The views are spectacular!

First check the quickly-changing weather before you go. You may get soaked but the awesome views are worthwhile. Be sure to walk up to the "needle" viewpoint (a moderate stair-climb) or down to the river. Lots of native flora and fauna awaits.

The information in the book says there is swimming but it is hard to find. Get the public bathroom fit so we don't have to use Port-A-Johns

The informational panels were very helpful and very educational. You are done in 30 minutes, but this is definitely worth the trip. $5 to park worth every penny.

This place is easy to get to, so rather than the hours to get to Hana, this can easily be done if staying I either of the two main resort areas on the island, Kihei or Kaanapali. That said my family did wish there were...More
