Hiking this trail was on my bucket list for our family trip to Oahu because GC23 is located on the trail. This geocache was placed in July 2000 and is one of the oldest ones I've ever found. There is also an easy "History of...More

The guide book said this was a 5 mile hike good for children. It was the worst hike we have ever been on. We were very happy when we finished without mishap other than ruined shoes. In fact we didn't do any other hikes in...More

This is an easy trail for most abilities. Most of the trail is shaded and there are some beautiful views! Pack a picnic to eat on the hillside of the over look at the halfway point! This trail does have some ups and downs which...More

It’s a fun run and a beautiful landscape. Just make sure you don’t go during or after any heavy rain. It can get dangerous.

This is an easy trail for novice hikers. There is a lot of shade on this hike. The H-3 freeway is visible on parts of the trail. With the trail being a loop, you don't have to walk back the way you came.

This was a very fun hike that allowed you to look over H3 on occasion. A bit muddy, but worth it. The hike itself is mainly going to be through the forest with a few steep climbes but all in all a good relaxing 3...More

A good hike for beginner to intermediate, well shaded in most areas, but be careful, can get very slippery after a rainfall. Bring water and some snacks. A couple of good views.

The walk is not overly difficult or long. Plus there are a good amount of birds to be seen. Plenty of shade cover, and not overly buggy. Would be a mess after a rain however.

Have done this hike a number of times. The forest is nice but don't go after a heavy rain unless you want to ruin your shoes with the thick red mud. Need decent shoes and water. Never have found the airplane purported to be crashed...More

Excellent hike. Fresh air, lush landscape. Trail well maintained. Some trail areas uneven due to tree roots or erosion. Best when trail is not muddy, i.e. avoid going day after heavy rain or on rainy day.

Definitely enjoyed this long hike. We stretched it out and did part of the summit trail which offered some great views. Then we made an offereing at the temple ruins on the way out. Lots of fun!
