Drove in but was closed. A bit disappointed. Large property. Wanted to see some nature away from the beach and crowds. This would of been the place. Good to see they are trying to save some of the area.

Call ahead to get the tour times. Show up, borrow binoculars (high quality, free) and follow a guide through this lovely refuge. We saw several endangered birds, learned about migrations and beak types and generally enjoyed the lovely setting. A real gem.

Enthusiastic local gave us a very informative talk/walk of the birds we could see on the day and what birds would use the facility during migration. Very enjoyable and free.
