This seems to be a hidden gem. Not the easiest to find. Worth parking up by the nearby beach which name escapes me!! Begins with a "K" and then walk about half a mile. When I visited the waters were calm. No lifeguards were there...More

Crowded, but hey, you can't beat this for an up close and personal viewing of these cool creatures. Volunteers on hand to answer your questions, and rope off the crowds from getting too close. You could stand here for hours and watch the turtles subjecting...More

My wife and I stopped by mid-day and there were at least a dozen turtles either on beach or visible from the beach. Pretty neat. Might as well stop by if you can find parking on your way through.

Went here on a sunny Wednesday afternoon. The turtles were swimming, eating and playing in the water. They were enormous! You didn't have to go far before you saw their cute little reptile faces. There are a few turtle avengers who look out for the...More

This beach was included as part of our tour in June 2017 on the Surf bus. The beach is a nice size and known for sea turtles. We only saw one swimming offshore the afternoon we stopped there. Probably better in the morning near noon...More

It's a bit of a drive from Honolulu or from Ko'Olina. Use your GPS and be mindful that there's is very little parking on the roadside. We were lucky and found a spot right away, but there's quite a slow traffic in front of the...More

There is lots of parking available at this location. It was surreal to see the turtles in their natural habitat. The turtles usually come out onto the beach around 12 or 1 in the afternoon, so this is the ideal time to go. There is...More

While driving to Haleiwa to our rental house we saw turtles chilling on the beach so we stopped. Lots of parking across the street and along the white painted fence area. Ok for swimming to the far right side of the beach, we saw at...More

The turtle guardian said that the turtles are there year round but are more abundant on the beach in summer. The ocean there has high surfs and currents, and swimming there is not recommended. The volunteer said that... More

We went on a day tour that included this beach. We found it easier then having to hire a car and pay for parking.

Yes, they only ask that you observe at a comfortable distance and do not impede their direction. Enjoy, it was a very memorable experience.
