We hit the beach at the right time and wound up seeing a huge sea turtle! They had an awesome volunteer there to watch over the people to ensure they weren’t fools and try to ride it or something. The parking is limited and pulling...More

We visited the end of March. We were told that we might not see turtles this time of year due to high surf, however they were swimming near the shore. Six of them. There was a small crowd watching the turtles but everyone took turns...More

Grandma and I were sightseeing. We decided to stop near some cliffs and get pictures of the waves. I loved the trees that were growing alongside the rock. Reminded me a lot of the pines in Georgia, USA.

The turtles on this beach were huge. There was a wildlife officer on hand to ensure that the public presented no danger to the turtles. Very cool.

We saw a few turtles in the water, but the swarm of people who gathered whenever one appeared made sure that none of them would dare come onshore. The volunteers do a nice job of providing info on the turtles and making sure people keep...More

Beach was great, we got to see and take pictures of couple of sea turtles. Took about 10 minutes and came back to the rental car to find out that the car was broken into! Purses and wallets with IDs were taken. A nightmare to...More

The volunteers on the beach are very informative and are protective of the turtles. You aren't suppose to swim in the beaches over winter so swimming with a turtle isn't possible. We saw one pop its head up and disappear quickly. I probably wouldn't return...More

It's easy to miss this beach not he way to more popular and well-known locations on the North Shore, but if you can spare an hour or two, you will not want to miss this! The reason so many turtles are there is because the...More

The turtle guardian said that the turtles are there year round but are more abundant on the beach in summer. The ocean there has high surfs and currents, and swimming there is not recommended. The volunteer said that... More

We went on a day tour that included this beach. We found it easier then having to hire a car and pay for parking.
