Stopped by here on the way back to our hotel after a long day of touring the island. The shave ice here is a more modest portion but really well made and delicious. Chris, the manager, made ours and did a great job. Our daughter got choc-mac ice cream and loved it, very fresh and made locally. I got the... More

Always come here for my shaved ice when I visit Haleiwa. Ask your service person to prepare their "specialty" and you will get a tasty surprise. I also love shopping for souvenirs in the General Store because they have a great selection of reasonably priced items.

I read bout this place on Trip Advisor which was good. Just because Matsumotos is so famous I decided to have a shave ice there. The line was way out the store (I think there was a bus of Japanese tourists there) which was ridiculous. So I walked down to the store as I knew where it was. No crowds,... More

We just happened to stop in at the Aloha General Store on the North Shore of Oahu for some ice cream. Being a coconut lover I ordered the coconut macadamia nut ice cream. Wow was it ever delicious! It was filled with coconut and macadamia nuts and because it was homemade it was exceptionally creamy. Best ice cream I've ever... More

My husband and I and our best friends took a tour of the island of Oahu and Adam, our tour guide (Private Tours Hawaii) took us here for a treat. We had another tour of Maui the next day so the competition was on between Adam and Jasmine (Holo Holo Tours, Maui) as to which island had the best shave... More

We stopped in at the Aloha General Store on our first day in Hawaii after a long flight from New Zealand, returning a few days later for our shaved ice fix. The shaved ice here is amazing!! Kids cones were $3 (or $3.50 can't remember) with LOTS of flavours. The ice melts in your mouth, and the flavours are strong... More

Matsumoto Shave Ice has nothing on Aloha General Store's Shave Ice. The parking is convenient and there almost never a line!

Fun little store for souvenirs. Decided to try their shave ice after having it at several other locations. It was nice to avoid the lines and the production line, at that other place. Took time to chat with Ashley who gave suggestions on flavors.
