Spent the day at Waimea Bay recently and had a wonderful time! Great beach to people-watch and enjoy the beauty all around. Enjoyed watching the jumpers from the rock, the beautiful water, the soft sand, and just the overall vibe of Waimea Bay!

Went to this beach last year and this year. The waves were a bit tricky close to the big rock but were OK further away. Got in the water again and it was totally magical!!

Parking is hard to find so go early. Views were beautifull. Plenty of space where people were not on top of each other. All beaches have no smoking signs however some locals were there smoking weed. Super annoying. Sunset was beautifull.

Beautiful and clean beach! The sand is wonderful. I arrived on a weekday around 9am and easily got a spot in the lot. However, when I left at 10:30, the lot was full and someone was waiting for my spot. Beach wasn't super crowded, but the waves, even in May were a little high fit swimming.

Waimea Bay is famous from surfing songs of the 60's. In the winter the waves are gigantic...in the summer, much more gentle and the water is clear. The huge rocks on the left side of the beach are often used to jump into the water below. It is a safe place to do this but it is a steep jump... More

Great beach with public restrooms and life guards on duty! Cliff jumping on the beach was a fun addition! Also there were a couple food trucks in the parking lot which was a great treat for an afternoon snack!
