Turtle Bay resort is nice, however, during every time it rains, the runoff into the beach at Turtle Bay makes the beach completely brown and gray. Also I was not impressed with the turtle bay beach at all even without the runoff. There are so...More

Perfect name for this beach. You can see turtles from the moment you walk into the beach swimming in the water. Slippery rocks so please be careful.

Turtle bay Resort has two beaches the one opp the parking lot is really rocky. The one to the left of the resort looking toward the sea is the Turtle back beach, its the better of the two for swimming.

If you want convenience and access to food/drinks, then the Turtle Bay Beach is definitely nicer (better parking and rental options) than most of the isolated beaches on the north shore. However, if you are willing to give up some convenience for better beach area,...More

You can't sit on their lounge chairs unless you are a guest. Water was very murky and barely any fish. Wasted my time here.

While we didn't stay here, we visited and toured around and have decided the next time we come to Hawaii, this will be the place to stay. So many activities for the entire family.

No, all beaches in Hawaii are public access. The Turtle Bay Resort has plenty of parking spot for beach goers.
We are staying in another location but who can we contact to rent beach equipment for the day? We would love to come spend a day and check out what you have to offer for our next visit.

and YES! The beach is public and there is a outdoor cabana where you can rent snorkeling and various beach gear.
