About
Kahuku Farms is a leading provider of fresh local produce on the North Shore of Oahu. Our specialty is bringing others directly to where their food comes from. We offer tours to illustrate the nurturing of local fruits and vegetables. We tend cacao groves to make our own chocolate, our uniquely Hawaii-grown acai berries are featured in our acai bowls. Our farm-to-table cafe provides the experience of enjoying food that has an immediate connection to the land. We strive to encourage a lifestyle of eating nutritious food, living sustainable ways, supporting local businesses, and spreading aloha.

- eminefesJacksonville, Florida6 contributionsLovely farm with great foodWe booked a tour at Kahuku, and when we got there we first ate at the cafe. We got the pizza, a wrap, and two smoothies. Everything was fresh and delicious. Then we went on the farm tour and got to see Kahuku's banana fields, eggplant fields, papaya fields, as well as a variety of smaller fields, including one that included acai and lilikoi. We also got to taste the banana, papaya, and chocolate that is grown/made there. It all tasted amazing! Our tour guide was very informative and it was fun learning how farming on Oahu is different from farming on the mainland.Aloha! Mahalo for joining our tour and for sharing your experience! I liked that we tried the different kinds of chocolate. We also tried the Açaí Bowl and the garlic bread in the cafe. Both was very delicious. Can highly recommend it.Aloha! - CanucksonthelooseVictoria, Canada745 contributionsGreat lunch!Based on the reviews, we made a stop here for lunch and NO REGRETS! The food is fresh, flavourful and eco-friendly. This farm makes a huge effort in recycling and sustainable farming, with displays out front and raised beds of produce. Compared to the rest of the Island, this cafe is worth its weight in gold and the vibe is relaxing, family-friendly, dog-friendly, with volleyball nets and great music to set the mood while sitting outdoors in the breeze, under a canopy. You can sit at tables or picnic on the grass. Limited menu but the food is fantastic! We had the farm pizza with chicken and half veggie panini with the most amazing basalmic dressing with eggplant: SUPERB! Can be a wait during meal times but relax and they'll call out your number. Kind service.Aloha! Mahalo for taking a chance on our little cafe! We're so happy to read about your experience and how much you enjoyed the special vibe we have out here. We're all about taking in that North Shore breeze, good food, good vibes, and all else that follows along with them! - noelle b3 contributionsWonderful, Informative, Tasty!Great tour! Our guide was personable, knowledgeable, and able to answer all of our questions. It is so important to appreciate what it takes to grow the food we need to survive and our guide did an excellent job of explaining the entire process. The 1-hour tour flew by. Many types of fruit to sample throughout the tour. Enjoy a smoothy before or after the tour - you won't be sorry!Aloha! Oh my! What a pleasure to read about your experience on our Farm Tour! - Alan K3 contributionsA genuine look at a local farm in operation. The tour is well worth it.Kahulu Farms provides a relaxed, low key visit to a small, working farm that provides fruits and vegetables to the area. I highly recommend the tour itself. It takes about an hour in a small group setting given by a knowledgeable and friendly guide. She provided a wealth of information and encouraged questions about all aspects of their operation. Their cafe was modest, but efficient and provided a true farm to table experience of their products. No glamour or glitz, but a wonderful real life view of a Hawaiian farm.Aloha! - Ruth NColumbia, Maryland90 contributionsExcellent lunch to be had here! The cafe for lunch served delicious food - we had the veggie pizza plate lunch with a generous salad and a pizza-like prep on a crusty roll split open and topped with a chunky sauce of eggplant, peppers, and tomato. The seating is outdoors with a canopy to shade from the sun. Very casual and lovely yard for kids to play in.Visited November 2023Travelled with friendsWritten November 16, 2023
- Kwonil_F1 contributionSuperb experience, great farm tour and tasty foodOne of the highlights of our trip, our toddlers loved the farm tour and seeing/tasting lots of different fruits. Great educational experience for the parents too. And the food at the cafe was incredible, the best açai bowl we had on the trip. Will definitely be back.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten November 22, 2023
- Nancy C5 contributionsExcellent Farm TourMy husband and I had a wonderful experience on the farm tour. The engaging guide gave educational tutorials about all the plants/vegetables/fruits grown at the farm. The best part was being able to taste most everything grown. A great experience overall!Visited December 2023Travelled soloWritten December 11, 2023

Exceeded our expectations in every way. We took the tour, which was interesting to teenagers and adults alike in our party. Judah is engaging and shares information on the ag as well as marketing/business side of the business. You can walk through the front side of the farm for free, where they have educational signs. But the tour is worth the price.
Definitely don’t miss lunch here. The tour includes a nice variety of fresh fruit from the farm after the tour; I would recommend eating lunch here beforehand. The gluten free pizza and panini are as delicious as the regular, if not more so. The açaí bowl and banana bread are really special. There are nice patio spaces, most covered, to sit and enjoy your meal. Don’t miss their chocolate made from cacao grown on the farm.
It’s also a great stop for lunch if you aren’t able to get into the tour. Very reasonable, farm-to-fork, and healthy. Kid’s menu, too. They sell fresh produce as it’s available, and also their own lotions, fruit butter and spread, syrup, and other goodies. A real find.

Our tour of Kahuku Farms turned out to be a highlight of our Hawaii vacation. We learned about growing banana trees, picked fresh star fruit right off the tree to eat, and saw and learned about all the other Hawaii crops grown on the farm. we had lots of samples to try and all were excellent, especially the papaya and chocolate. I highly recommend this to everyone and suggest you plan some time get lunch in their farm to table restaurant that is right on site.

Aloha! I grew up on the west side of the island and frequently visit Kahuku Farms for their delicious food. I finally went and experienced their farm tour and had a nice time. I learned more about the local/tropical plants they grow, the amount of work and effort it takes to simply yield a fruit bearing tree, and got to taste the inside of a raw cacao pod! We got fresh fruit at the end of the tour and I was happy to experience the farm tour and support local. I appreciate how important their brand is to their families and encourage people to try the tour at least once. (I also recommend getting their banana sundae for sure which is haupia coconut ice cream, apple banana, and their homemade caramel sauce. The pesto pizza is my favorite meal too, and the smoothies!) If you can't make the tour times, at least go to eat and cool off!

Absolutely loved the Kahuku farm tour! We got to sample fresh fruit including apple bananas, papaya, star fruit and dragon fruit. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and eager to answer all of our kids' questions. We had lunch at the cafe afterwards and had to sample as much as we could from their delicious menu. Highly recommended, and can't wait to come back!

This was one of the highlights of our Oahu trip. We went with young kids (12, 10, and 3) and everyone in the family enjoyed the tour and learned a lot. It was so much better than the Dole plantation. The fruit samples after the tour were amazing! I had the pizza and salad for lunch and it was surprisingly one of the best, and also most affordable, meals on the island. We also all loved the grilled banana bread and açaí bowls.

Kahuku Farms probably served up the best acai bowl I've had. Homegrown acai, lighter in color. The lililkoi butter was a great addition. The banana bread was delicious as well.

Our family really enjoyed the eco farm tour. We learned so much and loved tasting the fruit grown on the farm.
We purchased lunch and drinks at the cafe and then hung out and played games in the grassy area.
Amazing relaxed day on the North Shore.

In summer 2024 my program took 15 university students to Kahuku, and it was truly special. Even through equipment mishaps, they managed to give us a unique, educational, and memorable tour of their farm and facilities. Our students had an absolutely amazing time. This farm is so special, and I am glad we got to take our students here to learn and understand. Please support Kahuku Farms if you come to O'ahu.
