- grab the kayaks from Kailua Adventure in Kailua near the kailua beach park, they're the best. Mahalo Toby. The sand is so fine and water so clear. We saw a turtle and we could see right to the bottom as we kayaked out there

The beach is one of the best in Hawaii. The beach is with softer sand and calmer water. It's a great place for families. The water is so clear and beautiful. Parking around could be a bit tough, however.

What can i say to this place. It is in Hawaii! We went the beach early in the morning. It was cool and nice. Not many people in the morning. It has nice little waves. We had an awesome time.

Lanikai Beach is Paradise. Period. It is the most beautiful beach on Oahu that you will find. And you have to find it. It is worth the search. It's like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I literally stood in awe...More

There is no public restroom and wash place but great beach with kids. Please bring enough food and drink. Parking is hard to find but must go place!!

One of the best beaches on the island in my opinion. Usually crystal clear, turquoise water; however, the king tide had the water all churned up. The tide had the water rise up right up to the property edges in some spots! A sight to...More

I love this beach. It isn't as windy as Kailua Beach, which I also like, and the sand is whiter and softer. The water is calm so you can stay in for hours if you choose. Get there before 9am and enjoy the solitude. After...More

Best beach I have ever been too. Great for swimming, paddle boarding and families with kids. By far my favorite beach in the world so far! Try and get an airbnb and stay on the beach!

Kailua Beach used to be my favorite before. Then we discovered the more secluded, relatively, joys of Lanikai. Most of all, the close enough reefs that provide great snorkeling. While the fish aren't as plentiful and large as at Hanauma, the coral is still alive....More

It's heaven! It's breathtaking! Nothing can go wrong when you are sitting on this beach... even when the wind was going at 40km/h... Seriously considering to stay here instead of Waikiki next time I visit Oahu. So please... people, don't go there. Nothing special to...More

Hi All! We are planning to visit Oahu, but we would love to stay somewhere near to Lanikai beach. Are there hotels in Lanikai beachnor at least at Kailua?

There are a couple things that you need to take into consideration. Depending on when you come, the Kailua side of Oahu can be cooler while the sun will be a sure thing on the Waikiki side. The Lanaki beach is beautiful... More

I don't think there's any transport directly to the beach. There may be to Kailua beach park which isn't too far but I don't remember seeing buses there either. I would recommend hiring a car for at least 2 days if based in... More

Hi, I've read much about difficulty parking near Lanakai Beach. May I ask specifics about where to park to ensure I'm not fined or towed. I'll be visiting the last week of June. Thanks.
