I was there for stand up paddle. Calm water white sand and turquoise water with the beautiful background. Loved it until I got stung by Portuguese man-of-war. I just want to let people know and beware of this! Be prepared while enjoying Lanikai! Bring vinegar!

Absolutely gorgeous with emerald water and gentle tides. The only downside is no public parking or restroom facilities.

A must do when in Oahu is to visit this beach. Here you find a rest from the busy beaches in waikiki and enjoy the ocean at its best.

Time your visit carefully since parts of the beach disappear at high tide. Some areas are very narrow near the residential areas.

Sand like powdered sugar. Calm sea, great for all. Good place to watch the sun come up. People watching.

i'm sorry but i don't know which bus goes into Lanikai, but you should know that Lanikai beach has no bathrooms and no lifeguards and it is on the windward side of the island which means it is the windy side of the island... More

It depends on what part of Kailua you are in. If you are near Kailua beach park it is about a 15 min. walk to Lanikai and once you get to lanikai there are many public beach accesses between the private residential houses... More
