This was probably our favorite beach in Oahu outside of the North Shore. A friend of ours mentioned how much they loved this beach, so we took a day trip down from our North Shore hotel, and we didn't regret it! We did the Lanikai Pillbox Trail first (which I highly recommend!) and then walked down the beach. There were... More

You have to go here - it's a pretty beach and also, very good for swimming. If you want to surf or middle board, go to Kailua beach.

The view out to the Sisters Islands is spectacular. Swim just a few feet offshore (bring your snorkeling gear!), and you'll feel like you're in an aquarium. Corals and aquatic life (fish, turtles, anemones, etc.) abound! Rent a paddleboard or kayak, and head out to the Sisters (you can only stop at one; the other is a bird refuge). Adventurous... More

This beach is one of the best we've ever been to, actually it may be the best beach we've ever been to. The problem is it's not a "secret" place anymore and parking can be a nightmare sometimes. It can get very packed on the weekends so if you can get there in the morning during the weekdays it's not... More

Always one of our favourite beaches to visit. It's fairly quiet, tucked away from the busier Kailua beach. Nice water access for snorkelling on a calm part of the reef. Not much access to parking or food during the day, so come prepared with everything. The views here are spectacular for relaxing.

We were staying in Kailua and made the very short drive over to check on Lanikai Beach. Beautiful beach! There is no designated parking so you do have to look for parking along the residential streets and then walk a short distance to the beach. It is a beautiful beach with soft sand. The day we went the waves were... More

The most prestins beach in hawaii. Beautiful soft white sand and a surprisingly quite beach in January. Our fav beach by far!

A day at north shore is not the same without an afternoon at Lanikai! I had my new blended family with me and although it was an all male entourage, laying in the crystal clear water, snoreling and instagraming pictures of the shore, sand and sun, was a HUGE hit for my crew! It gets more and more crowded, but... More

We loved spending time at Lanikai Beach. The water is warm and crystal clear. My daughter swam out to Flat Island. Why, because it's there and she likes a challenge. It's about 590 yards from the beach to the island. Take a drive past Hanauma Bay to find this beach near Kialua.
