Short picnic

I can recomend it for short rest or or picnic under palm trees. Nice views on bay, old fish pond and ocean.

Wow! Awesome adventure! My husband and I signed up for the kayaking and snorkeling tour! We arrived early and the view from the park out to the bay and Coconut Island was incredible. The winds were up but our guides, Natalie and Mika, were experienced and confident! They debriefed everyone on the conditions and expectations. They outfitted everyone with lifevests,... More

He'eia State Park is an interesting place off the beaten path, outside of town. The park has a wide variety of lush vegetation and good views of Kaneohe Bay. The park has a large banquet hall for weddings or other gatherings.

At first glance it appears to be rundown and not much. But if you take the time to get outta your car and explore its a cool spot. There's a neat spot down a small trail to the right where you see the old fish ponds. Nice place to sit quietly, have a picnic or just chill. We always take... More

Beautiful views, great Bay for snorkeling. Grandma enjoyed strolling and napping on the grounds while the rest of the group teenagers and small children went kayaking. Highly recommend snorkeling and kayaking with Holokai company which is right there in the visitor center at the park.

A very brief visit but some good lookout places for photos. If you go when it is rainy or damp be aware that the soil is clay based and makes a mess all over shoes/sandals!

The facility here is a great location in Kaneohe to throw a large party! Towards the Waimānalo direction, this place overlooks the historic He’eia Fishpond. Towards the North Shore direction, there is the He’eia Boat Harbor which has the He’eia Pier General Store & Deli and a few tourist activities. All this is nearby He’eia State Park and within walking... More

If you're allergic to cats, just drive right on out of here. There are like 50-100 cats here, they catch, neuter and release/feed them here. They are nice and don't bother you, but it's a little strange to see. I'm not sure if this area I was at is the whole park, it seems very small to be a "state"... More

I'd better love this park, it's where we came to get married 15 years ago, oh yeah 15 heavenly years ago. Actually we set up here and got married out on sunken beach in the middle of Kanehoe Bay, with the tide running...hilarious video. If you like paddling, sailing snorkeling frolicking this is the place. You'll recognize vistas from Paradise... More

So many fantastic vistas to see from this location. Looking North to Kaneohe Bay, you'll think you are in Bora Bora. Ancient fish ponds to the South. The Kaneohe sand bar is close by. You can rent kayaks at the location also. It's a small park location with the finest views anywhere.
