We have been here twice. The first time in the spring when it was cold. The ocean was so dramatic because of the wind. We came back in the Fall. Same beauty now with the drama of the colors. Definitely a must see.

For a true picture of the Maine coast, Mount Desert Island is a great place to see. So many things to do, but honestly just driving around is great because the landscape is overwhelmingly beautiful!!

We traveled all over the island in October, spending several days and evenings enjoying the various coastal towns, the interior and the scenic cliffs, rocks, and shore. Plan a vacation around this place, you won't regret it.
