Our beautiful vis-a-vis carriage, drawn by a matching team of Shire horses, holds six passengers. Rides leave from 55 West Street between the Whale Watch Building and the Harborside Inn and start at $25/person (May-June, Sept-Oct), $30/person (July-August), special discounted rates for children for 30-minute public rides; $120-$150 for private. Our family was on a New England Cruise through Bar Harbor and we saw this tour. It was so lovely and the driver and assistant were great in that they gave us the history of the town and answered questions about the area.
