I thought that we would get to tour a chocolate factory! You can buy Ghirardelli Chocolate though!

Fun shopping, cafes and a fountain to enjoy. The grounds are beautiful. You can enjoy a sundae with hot Ghirardelli fudge topping. Many people were sharing this delight!

Great place. Love the lights and all the stores and restaurants in it. Great for a wine tasting too.

There are no less than 4 Ghirardelli shops in Ghirardelli Square, so don't feel you have to suffer the long lines at the first shop - keep walking and you will come upon another right away. Loved the history behind this - gent arrives from Italy for the gold rush with chocolate as an afterthought - found out people had... More

The amounts of chocolate as far as the eye can see was wonderful. The weird combinations of chocolate and fruit and spicy caramel sound weird, but are awesome. They give you the ability to pay by pound and try different kinds. We also had sundaes which were great. The price is high, but well worth it. If you are a... More

Nothing more than a tourist trap. If this is your first visit then I recommend going here just to check it off the list. There is no value in going the second time unless you want to spend at least an hour stand in queue for half melted ice cream to eat on sticky tables. Expect zero customer service.

We stopped here for an ice cream sundae. A sundae with two brownies and two big scoops of ice cream was $16.95. It was hard to finish for two people. We ordered at the cashier and then sat down. The only table available was covered with dirty dishes and used napkins. After about 10 minutes of sitting at the dirty... More

Of course it was amazing. It's Ghirardelli. Second time we were there in SF, and we have one at Disney Springs near where we live, so we are very familiar with it. Family got the Earthquake on this most recent visit to SF. (Tip: If you're buying 4 or more sundaes, the Earthquake is cheaper.) They let us choose the... More
