Description:

Extranomical Tours is an independent San Francisco sightseeing tour company...

Extranomical Tours is an independent San Francisco sightseeing tour company that specializes in small group tours to Yosemite, Muir Woods, Wine Country & around San Francisco. Due to the small size of our groups, our tours offer a distinct "traveling with friends" feel and can visit locations that larger tour buses cannot, like the Giant Sequoia Grove on our 1-day Yosemite Tour from San Francisco or small family-owned boutique wineries. We are fully insured and licensed by the State of California authorities. We train our guides one-on-one to make sure that they are knowledgeable, courteous and most of all, safe. We carefully select the locations we explore on our tours to maximize your time and allowing you to see the best local sights. We pride ourselves on maintaining an adventurous, yet easy-going atmosphere.

My husband and I took a full day tour to Yosemite National Park & Giant Sequoias with Extranomical Tours back in March. We booked our trip through Viator.com. Because of the recent rainfall causing mudslides, we weren’t able to visit the Giant Sequoias (a BIG disappointment for us!), but we did spend a full day in Yosemite National Park. We... More

My brother booked this tour for the two of us to occur on the last day of our SF trip. He had done the tour previously so he is a repeat customer. It was my first trip to SF and the only tour we did during this trip. The bus was clean and more comfortable that I expected. It had... More

We took the day trip to Yosemite with Extranomical Tours. We had a pick up from our hotel and then we were on our way. Brook our guide was an informative, talkative and friendly man. He had plenty of information along the way and even had a few jokes to go with it. The day is a long one but... More

My family and I took the Muir Woods/Wine tasting tour today. It was not good at all. The bus was jammed pack with 37 people. There was no room to move. We were thigh to thigh, arm to arm on the back seat. We had to "request" the air from our Tour guide ( Ramon) several times...in 90 degree weather... More

I took the Muir Woods Tour on Friday, May 19, 2017. My tour guide was Kimberly. From the start of the tour, Kimberly was friendly, warm, engaged, and tourist-centered.Kimberly is very knowledgeable and gave us facts and also personal anecdotes, which made the tour both fun and interesting. Kimberly is funny and charming. I felt like she wanted to make... More

Wow! What a fantastic day!!! This tour should be on everyone's bucket list. The Muir Woods were absolutely amazing! So peaceful and beautiful-a little bit of Heaven on Earth. Then on to Sonoma and Napa. The vineyards were magnificent! Lots of wine tasting and beautiful scenery. Our tour guide Antony made the day even better-English accent, great sense of humor,... More

Anthony (the British guy) was a fantastic tour guide! He was funny, and informative. He gave great advice on the wines to try, and places to eat. Definitely try to book him as your guide if you get the chance!

With Yosemite being approx 3.5-4 hours away from downtown San Fran, this day trip is a long trip to take in a day. However Vlad our guide was fantastic with his enthusiasm and personal anecdotes that gave the tour an authentic quality. Primarily an express visit of Yosemite due to timing, Vlad still managed to get us around to all... More

In San Francisco on business and had a few hours to take a tour with my son. We had a great time on the wine tour with our tour guide Vlad. Vlad shared a lot of knowledge about San Francisco and the history of the landmarks, and he schooled the group on the finer points of wine making and tasting.... More

My husband and I chose this tour to squeeze in seeing the big redwood trees and also to check out the famous wine regions of Napa and Sanoma during our short San Fran stay. Our guide was Anthony, and he was amazing, so knowledgeable but also very entertaining! We had a full bus so the tour was large, but we... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
