This was one of our favorite stops on our bike ride around San Francisco! The tide was high and the sounds were fascinating! It is quite a way out on the point, but the ride is gorgeous!

This attraction is at the end of a little harbour, definitely wasn’t what I expected though. Various pipes in rock down into ocean supposed to make noises, hense being called the wave organ. Basically get more noises just listening to the waves. Maybe we went...More

I wouldn’t have known about this is it wasn’t for a city local. I think it was a really nice place. The placement was a bit secluded. So was not many people that was there. It was a nice and quiet place. You could listen...More

It's a long walk to get here, or a taxi ride, and while the view is nice there won't be any music unless the tide is high-ish - so check this before you go. It's a cool idea, but silent at low tide...

I read this in a paper one day and was inspired to come. It’s not good on a calm or cold day, but really cool when the water is active. Easy to miss, by Chrissy fields up against the marina.

I reccomend this as a free easy place to show the kids as something to do in San Francisco. These Organ stretch into the bay and as the ocean currents move it sends its sounds up these pipes. So you have the kids moving from...More

We walked 45 minutes to hear the wave organ - which is a very cool concept and was interesting to see....but we didn't know that we should plan around high tide. At low tide, you only hear the water coming into the pipes and no...More

Yes high tide will give you the best sound but you’ll miss the tiny crabs and seeing exactly how this works. At high tide you don’t get to see the pipes coming in that allow the sounds to come up. So yes, high tide will...More

This was a fun sight to see and listen, music by the sea (do not go at low tide). Also, make sure you combine it with a walk on the Marina and The Palace of Fine Arts.

Hi, it will be very dark and cold because it is literally surrounded by the water all around. Midnight may not be as safe as during the day because you will have to walk for a while before you can reach the wave organ. If... More
