GET OFF THE TOUR BUS & URBAN TREK WITH US! Urban Trek USA's - small group (maximum of 7 people)- urban trek is an EXPERIENCE better than being aboard a tour bus or shuttle. An urban trek is a sightseeing & walking tour experience where you will use the city's public transportation system and walk around and learn about the different neighborhoods, see great views around the city, and have lunch or a coffee break at the best places in the neighborhood. You will feel almost like a local San Franciscan after your urban trek. Check the customized (private) urban trek for a party of four or more.

On 2 day trip to SF (first time). I was lucky being the only person on the day on Urban Trek I. Anton was very personable and easy to spend the day with. The walk was filled with history and information about the city which would have taken me weeks to research and days to complete. I believe that this... More

Anton took a couple of newbie tourists and got us oriented to the best of San Francisco. He's full of all the kind of information you can only get from someone who lives here and genuinely enjoys sharing it. He cares about your experience. It's great to walk around and see hidden gems. We would never have seen all we... More

Amazing five stars tour. Anton was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. We felt like we were exploring and learning about San Francisco from a long-time friend. He had great suggestions for restaurants, bars, and bakeries in the various neighborhoods. We enjoyed visiting some unique neighborhoods we wouldn't have found on our own. Walking San Francisco is a great way... More

I found this trip by searching for walking tours. I've found that I most enjoy exploring a new city with a knowledgeable local. I'd never been to San Francisco and I was overwhelmed by all the choices, neighborhoods, and recommendations. I wanted to know the best way to check out as many sites as possible in a short period of... More

Excellent walking tour to start your SFO visit. We did urban trek #4 with Antón Who gave us tons of Information sharing photos and stories about SFO early days. Antón is very enthusiastic and take care of every detail. Since we booked the tour, he was very kind in giving information about how to move and take care in SFO.... More

Today I had the most wonderful experience exploring and getting to know the city, thanks to Anton. The tour was perfect in every way: it had history, fun and little known facts, and the most beautiful views of the city perfect for photo opts. Not to mention, Anton was completely prepared and added historical photos to the tour. He even... More

We had a really full day and we enjoyed every minute of it. I really liked the secret places he took us to, the restaurants he recommended, the fact that he took pictures of us and, of course, the great ice cream place at the end! I will definitely do the tour again if I ever revisit San Francisco!

While we have visited San Fran many times, Anton helped us discover SF in way we could have never done on a short visit. Anton is the perfect guide. Staying in North Beach / Telegraph Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian ristorante come together to create the charming neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in the city exude as much European charm and style. Peruse a bookstore for the literature of Kerouac, Ferlinghetti and Ginsberg, grab some gelato and head to Washington Square for a perfect afternoon of people watching. Just east of North Beach, the hills and staircases of Telegraph Hill are a unique delight. At its peak, the art deco Coit Tower provides sweeping panoramic views of the bay and city. The beautifully landscaped Filbert Street Steps, a street too steep for a roadway, rewards those willing to hike uphill. Keep your ears open and you might even hear the squawk of the wild parrots who call this neighbourhood home.
