Go here for a gentle hike that takes you to a vista outside of the Golden Gate where you can take amazing pictures. The trail can be a little muddy, but it's definitely worth it. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the best viewing spots. You can also hike down to the water. An unexpected areas of calm in a busy city.

Spectacular views all along the trail. The trail is not difficult. Currently parking is free and restrooms & visitor center is closed due to covid 19 restrictions but the trail itself is open. There is a mobile restroom & not very clean. Parking is limited and gets filled up during the day. you may have to wait till a parking spot becomes available unless you get there early morning

This is where the land meets the sea and this park area is a great place for a hike, but be prepared for lots of wind and probably fog, so the temperature will be low. bundle up.

Lands End, once you’ve been you’ve been we would not return. The day is expensive £7 to park, £30 for a family to do the 3 attractions, 4d cinema closed due to covid. Food expensive £38 for a couple of pizzas, drinks and donuts. And if you haven’t spent enough your now charged £20 to have a family picture under the Lands End sign, shocking! The small farm is lovely to have a wonder round.

Having read some rather negative reviews about the price of the car park and the commercialisation of Lands End we were in two minds whether to bother going. But we took the advice of one reviewer ( thanks) to park in Sennen Cove and walk the coastal path. This was great - despite the cloud and mist and the fact we couldn’t see anything - this just added to the mystery and at least we could hear the sea ( 1st positive reframing). When the Lands End ‘experience’ loomed out of the mist it was a relief to discover we were not actually lost on moorland, never to be seen again. Then we spied the much maligned photographer doing his stuff and whilst we didn’t indulge, it was entertaining to watch and try and work out which of the 3 names belonged to the dog... The entertainment/retail/food area made me wonder if it was modelled on Niagara Falls ( anyone who has been there will know what I mean). But we enjoyed a coffee whilst waiting for the mist (not) to lift before walking back to Sennen Cove on a somewhat more populated coastal path than on our way over. Overall a very enjoyable few hours despite the inclement weather!
