On June 7, 1974, Steve Silver produced a small show in the back room of the Savoy Tivoli Restaurant in San Francisco. The show was to run for six weeks. That was over 37 years ago... Today, Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon has the distinguished title of "World's Longest Running Musical Revue." The show - a musical spoof known internationally for its extravagant costumes, outrageous hats, show-stopping numbers and hilarious puns of pop culture and political character - has been seen by over 5.5 Million people, including HRC Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall as well as some of Hollywood's biggest stars. "Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon," hailed as "a constant cascade of showstoppers" by the "San Francisco Chronicle", follows Snow White as she takes a fast-paced journey around the world in search of her "Prince Charming." Along the way she encounters a star-studded, ever-changing line-up of hilarious political and pop-culture characters including Donald and Melania Trump, Adele, Hillary & Bill Clinton, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, President Barack & Michelle Obama, Hamilton, Bernie Sanders, Sia, Taylor Swift, Vladimir Putin, Chris Christie, Barbra Streisand, Miley Cyrus, Orange is the New Black, Empire’s Cookie, Oprah and the San Francisco Giants

Terrific energy...and always fun. I last saw this show about 25 years ago...and it seemed very familiar (but still incredibly funny). Well worth the ticket price. Some off-color humor. Unreserved seating, so get there early (about 45 minutes) and wait in line outside. Unfortunately, we...More

A ripping good time. Amazing performers and fun show. They always incorporate the latest news and politics into the show, so even if you've seen it before, go see again if it has been at least 6-months. I did think they took it pretty easy...More

This was recommended to us by a San Francisco native and we're so glad that we went. It's musical theater, and is famous for huge hats that the actors wear. Although the show is decades old, the writers keep it relevant by adding modern references...More

The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.

Capital Steps is all political. This show is just funny, with a little political humor thrown in. They are constantly updating the show to reflect current events. Very funny!
