We were just at the auditorium for Hans Zimmer Live and I was impressed. The layout of the building is a little confusing, but we also went up the wrong stairwell while looking for our seats and had to wander a bit. Once we figured...More

Having been here once before, I knew going into this concert that it would be one to remember. Entry in is always super fast (usually no waiting - even when sold out). The staff is on it and makes things run smooth. There are a...More

This was my 3rd time at the civic...I love that this venue doesn't have assigned seating for their concerts...there is not a bad seat in the house! I have seen PearlJam , Kings of Leon, & YoGabbaGabba here & have had an amazing time each...More

This is an old school concert and gathering venue. Not that pretty inside but it gets the job done. Fine.

Great concert, was not impressed with seating. This is an open auditorium with seating upstairs and standing only downstairs. Would definitely spend extra for a seat. Standing for 3 1/2 hours was excessive..

Great place for a concert. Has great acoustics, sight lines, and plenty of room for a crowd. I had no problems with seeing the stage to watch the band play.

I've attended many events at this location - great place - the parking is limited in the area if you get there after your show starts. Parking does fill up quickly - right across the center underneath the yard is you easiest parking location -...More

After buying tickets to see Disclosure at Bill Graham, I made several inquires to both the venue itself and the ticket agency. No one seemed to understand the true meaning of all GA tickets, how hard it would or wouldn't be to get balcony seats,...More

I attended the Apple Developer conference and the opening sessions were held here. Coming from overseas I was quite shocked over all the homeless in the area surrounding the venue. However, once inside this building it is quite magnificient and could be reconfigured from the...More

Really excellent exhibition . Easy to navigate and great use of 90 min to 3 hours depending on level of detail. Only $12 to enter. There were a bunch , as in a large bunch of very young children at an event next door that...More

Civic Center is the seat of power for all things
government and performance-related in the city.
Although its streets are best walked during daytime,
numerous cultural gems are within close proximity to
one another. The symphony, opera, ballet, and jazz
center offer year round entertainment within the
shadow of the city’s Beaux-Arts crown jewel: the gold
tipped dome of City Hall.

Going to see temple of the dog, first time at BGCA. I like the balcony at the Filmore, wondering if BG is similar, and also loge vs. balcony? Thanks!

Its's a small arena and we sat in the upper reaches of the balcony for a Fall Out Boy concert and it wasn't bad. FYI: Pretty heavy security and UBER has a hard time finding you after the show if you use their service (highly... More

We are doing a three night Phish run here and are wondering the best option for transportation to and from the venue. Does the BART run that late? Is there any safe public transit options that run late? I know it's kind of a sketchy area so we wanted to stay further away and just take public transit there and back each day. Thanks!

UBER's the way to go. Pick a spot to pick you up within a block or so of the arena so they can get to you in a reasonable amount of time. We stayed at the Omni and it cost around $5.00 one way. Well worth it.
