We attended a concert last night for Damien Escobar and had early entry tickets. Our tickets were at will call and there were two separate lines. Luckily I asked people in the two lines, what the lines were for. One was for general admission and the other was for the early entry ticket holders who paid extra to get in... More

I attended the Lizz Wright show last night and appreciated the great service from the wait staff. The drinks were great and I didn't have food, so no comment on that part. In its prior life, it was a bordello. Now as a music hall, it offers a tasteful intimacy to hear great music. Get there early and enjoy dinner... More

One of my favorite Grateful Dead recordings and performances was made here in 1975 and I've been wanting to visit for years. My chance finally came when Hayes Carll was playing there in July 2016 and I was already planning to be in SF. The venue is so much smaller than I expected, making it easy to get to the... More

Went to see a show with dinner. The show was great ! ! ! The dinner not so much. I had the fish and chips. The fish was Over battered Over cooked and mostly oil from the fryer. I liked the room and loved the show. I think next time we will skip the dinner.

The venue was awesome. Cam was awesome. A very comfortable place to see an entertainer. The set up allows for a very personal show. Will definitely be back.

Nice, intimate venue with good acoustics. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but once you are inside, it is all good.

If wall could talk, some stories could be told about this legendary music establishment. It has been around since the early 1900's but remodeled into its currnet configuration in the the mid 70's. If you have a chance to a musical act here....you won't be disappointed by the venue.

The building is beautiful and a great spot for a concert. The sound was perfect and for the most part, a great environment. However, I am very hesitant about ever returning. The lead bartender is one of the worst I have ever met in SF. I understand bars get busy and I don't expect fast service. When I or a... More

What an awesome place to see a show, especially from the old-school balcony areas. Great acoustics. The service was very good considering how slammed the staff was during our show. The Tenderloin can be a bit sketchy. On the night we were there a street fight erupted. But generally, all's well trekking to this wonderful venue.

We travelled to San Francisco to see Steve Earle and the Dukes, with The Mastersons opening. What a venue! I felt like I travelled back in time to a golden age of theater. The bar service was quick, the staff friendly and helpful.
