It is very clean in Japantown, and it has lots of Japanese food, clothes, cosmetics and sometimes they will have Japanese cultural performance. Not a big place, but do need to visit here if you come to san francisco.

This place is very interesting, definitely a lot smaller than Chinatown, but nowhere near as packed either. Great authentic Japanese stores and restaurants. Definitely worth while visiting if you want a taste of Japan whilst in San Franc.

There is a small plaza here with several restaurants and shops. Its a good place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There's also a modern pagoda.

Been coming to Japantown for over 15 years primarily for the many authentic Japanese restaurants, stores, home goods and scenery that reminds me of being in Japan. There is a movie theater here which we typically visit often and a great Ramen place too -...More

This is a real radial centre in San Francisco of and for everything Japanese: endless restaurants and other food options, shops with Japanese goods and even a shop where every item is $1.50. The Kinokuniya Bookstore is a haven for books of all kinds and...More

We had business at the PRC consulate, and then went searching for lunch. The Japantown pagoda is very striking and worth a look close up. The two retail buildings are mostly full of Japanese restaurants and we had a very fine meal there. (Sorry, I...More

There is a parking garage under the mall. I usually use public transportation which is convenient and inexpensive.
