Music lovers complain of the sound issues in this problematic symphony hall. I am not an expert so I have no personal opinion, but I have attended many excellent concerts here. If there is a performance that suits you, go. It's a pleasant experience.

Saw classic movie "On the Waterfront," with Marlon Brando while the San Fran Symphony played the movie score live. An unusual experience. Also enjoyed the symphony store and walking around Davies. One could fee the energy of the people and the elegance, even though most were dressed casually.

We've been to around 5 concerts / recitals here over the past year and what a joy. Tonight we listened enraptured to Itzak Perlman - a god amongst musicians- in comfortable seats and fantastic acoustics. The ushers are lovely too, and it always feels like everybody is UTTERLY delighted to be there! Perfect air temperature too.

I have been to perhaps 10 symphonies at Davies over the years, and always have a splendid experience. I'm not a musician and cannot speak in technical terms, but the SF Symphony and the productions I have attended have always been very good or excellent. The venue is beautiful with the circular, wrap-around walkway, huge ceiling to floor glass windows,... More

A wonderful venue for the symphony. We had Loge seats off to the side (section D) and the view was excellent. Parking is really challenging...we prepaid the parking and that was worth it because the lot is right across the street and access is limited to those who prepaid.

The San Francisco Symphony is world-class and musicians who perform here are of the best. I can't say enough about attending any musical performance in this all. The acoustics are extraordinary. Every aspect is perfect.

Great location and a small venue. We enjoyed the concert and thought the sound was excellent. We were in the back but could still see the artist without binoculars.

The Davies Symphony Hall was a modern theater with comfortable seating and excellent acoustics. We had no problem getting in our out of the theater for the performance. There was ample room between seats to stretch our legs and sit comfortably.

It could use some updating (carpets, upholstery, restrooms) but honestly the Davies Symphony Hall is a-ok by me. The oversized elevators make it fairly accessible for those with motor limitations, but there will almost always be a few steps that must be navigated. Really fair acoustics, which also means literally every candy wrapper and cough will be an irritant to... More
