20 great beers on tap!

Bartenders were great as well and gave us directions to other locations nearby that we were headed to.

Alot of the financial district crowd hangs out here on the weekdays. the place retains the old style dark wood western saloon interior. Gets really crowded on friday nights during happy hour. If you are around the embarcadero district a great place to stop in for a drink

I ate here at the bar after a long day of business meetings during a recent trip to San Francisco. The barkeeps are all sharp and congenial, without the stuffiness you get in the city sometimes. I sat at the bar, watching a baseball game while disappearing into just the right level of ambient noise. They had several favorites on... More

It was a cold wet day and we were desperate to get out of the rain, one of the hotel doormen suggested this as an excellent bar. The décor I thought was so traditional, we felt relaxed and reminded me so much of the pubs back home in England. Nice selection of beers. The menu was very extensive (maybe a... More

I heard this place had great burgers so I went, but I instead was tempted to have a salad that was just delicious! My boyfriend had the burger and it was tasty, but there were so many menu items I wanted to try I will definitely come back! They have 2 island bars, lots of TV's showing whatever game the... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
