The Bay Bridge is a gateway to San Francisco and Oakland. The best view is on the upper deck going towards San Francisco. You pass the Eastern span, Treasure Island tunnel and a beautiful right view of the San Francisco skyline. It's too bad there's...More

If you are driving into San Francisco and you have a chance to take this bridge I would highly recommend it. It is interesting to see how this bridge compares to the old style bridges that have spanned the waterways in the past. And yes,...More

Although it took 45 minutes to get through traffic to pay the toll on a Saturday afternoon, driving across the Bay Bridge was amazing. The architecture of this bridge is breath taking and it was fascinating driving across. I would definitely wait another 45 minutes...More

Take the hop on hop off bus tour. It brings you across the bridge where you can get off and take photos. It is one of the best ways to experience San Fransisco.

Best is to see it on a cruise at night, it was so beautiful all lit up, lights dancing along the wires. It was almost magical.

This bridge was entirely replaced a few years. To make it "earthquake proof." For me, that's not a big advantage. The big disadvantage is too few lanes of traffic. It can take 90 minutes to get onto and across the bridge from the SF side--and...More
