We left a grouchy restaurant and came here for a quick drink before heading back to the hotel for the evening. The waitress at Vesuvio was so kind and friendly. We took our time and enjoyed our cocktails. Highly recommend, good vibes here!

Go here for a drink and a bit of history. Maybe you can be inspired to write that next bestseller. Maybe you can meet the next famous poet. I just wished they served a bit of bar food. But it is a must go to...More

Was in San Francisco for two nights and went here both nights for a few drinks. Nice atmosphere and good quality beers. Felt welcome even being on my own..

They say that Bob Dylon used to frequent this place and I didn't doubt it. It's a quirky place with great drinks at reasonable prices served by very friendly staff. Very busy on a Saturday night.

A classic. Dark, dingy, friendly, loads of history, great bartenders and next door to the City Lights bookstore. This is not the Top of the Mark for the fur coat set. This is for your inner beatnik. Strong drinks and strong opinions abound. I've never...More
