We came to this venue to see the Nutcracker. It was our first time to this venue and we were pleasantly surprised by the history and architecture. We would definitely come back here to see another show!

The Opera House was beautiful and was the perfect place to see The Nutcracker. The staff was polite and the house was grand. We had a great time. Even the inexpensive seats were fine for viewing the performance. Highly recommend a visit.

Civic Center
Civic Center is the seat of power for all things
government and performance-related in the city.
Although its streets are best walked during daytime,
numerous cultural gems are within close proximity to
one another. The symphony, opera, ballet, and jazz
center offer year round entertainment within the
shadow of the city’s Beaux-Arts crown jewel: the gold
tipped dome of City Hall.

Row D will be very close to the stage. You'll be looking up a bit. Row O will be back further and look more straight onto the stage. Hope that helps.

That I don't know. In the group I signed up for, there were between 10 and 15 people, if I remember right. If you want to pursue it further, you may search for SFOpera backstage tours
