Wife and I are season subscribers midway through our 5th season. Every performance we have seen has ranged from quite good to excellent. The theater itself is great: a fairly small setting with no bad seats on the main floor (The mezzanine seating might be...More

What a great production. I live in SF and simply do not attend this theater often enough. Always delighted. Strong performances for the singers and a small, but nice-sounding LIVE pit orchestra. Highly recommended.

SF Playhouse knocked it out of the park, heh, heh, on this show. Excellent singing and acting. SFP consistently provides good theater, I highly recommend getting a subscription.

Went for a Sunday matinee of “Sunday in the park with George”. I’ve always wanted to see this play. We were front row on the mezzanine, very good view. The actors were excellent, wonderful singers!

WE went to this theater to see the play: The Entymologist's Love Story. Really good. Actors were entertaining! Play/story was funny - very well written. Make this a stop when you are in San Francisco. We had lunch at Sears Fine Food before the show.

This is a small theatre so I wouldn't worry about getting a bad seat. We went to a performance of "The Effect". It is not light hearted theatre. It was exceptionally well done. All actors were Equity. I wasn't crazy about the play, but that's...More

The Playhouse gets better every year. I like that they talk about sitting in the dark with strangers to experience the wonder of theatre. Dress warmly when you go in the winter. San Francisco builders pretend that California is a 24-hour sunny beach inside and...More

We had great seats at the back lower level near the aisle in the middle section.Think all seats would be pretty good. It's a small intimate theatre. Fantastic night.
